3 Descriptions to our specialized classes Giggles n Wiggles: This class is for our star dancers ages 18 months to 3 years old. A class for our little stars to explore the wonderful world of dance and the joys it brings to our lives through creative movement. Throughout class instruments and fun props are used to enhance their learning of colors, shapes, and letters. This class will teach our little stars crucial social skills as they interact with other children their age within a structured atmosphere, therefore learning how to share, wait their turn, follow directions etc. All of the essentials that they will need as they move up in our Stars System. One adult must accompany any child attending this class, as the parent-child interaction is also key to a successful Giggles n Wiggles class. It s sure to be 45 minutes of your day full of lots of giggles! :-) Tippy py Toes: This class is for our Star Dancers ages 2.5-4, a step up from our Giggles n Wiggles program, as your star will now enter into dance class without the accompaniment of an adult. Your star dancer will be introduced to creative movement, pre-ballet, and tap. The first half of our year will focus on the creative movement and pre-ballet side of dance, and in January we will introduce them to the wonderful world of tap as well. Our Tippy py Toes class is only half of our Twinkle Stars program as we work to create a well rounded dancer and child starting from a young age. Tumble-Hoppers: This class is for our Star Dancers ages as we introduce them to the wonderful world of Acrobatics and. All acrobatic body positions will be taught as well as introductory skills such as, forward and backward rolls, cartwheels, bridges etc. With a strong emphasis on learning musicality and rhythms our little stars will utilize many different types of instruments throughout class to encourage the beats and styles of hip-hop as well. Fun obstacle courses enhance their learning as we continue to work on balance, coordination, strength and flexibility all in a structured atmosphere. Your dancer will be movin and groovin non-stop for 45 minutes of Fun!! Shining Stars: This class is for our star dancers with special needs. A music and movement class that will improve their coordination, musicality & rhythm, selfconfidence, and self-awareness. Most importantly, this class will give our shining stars

4 the opportunity to enjoy the benefits that dance and music can bring to their lives, as well as encourage socialization skills. This class is an opportunity for them to creatively express themselves and take this positive experience and what they learn from it with them for the rest of their lives. Acrobatic Workout: This class is for our star dancers (could be from any age bracket), that are truly excelling in acrobatics and want the extra time, besides their regularly scheduled acrobatics class, to improve and master the skills that they are individually working towards. This class is a technique only class so will not learn a routine to perform at years end. Any student interested in attending this class must be enrolled in a regularly scheduled acrobatics class at some point throughout the week, and must speak with Miss Carissa directly to ensure that this class is the correct placement for your star dancer. DBA Boyz Crew: Our DBA Dance family wouldn t be complete without our own Crew. This class gives our male star dancers (ages 9 & up), the chance to have their own class to showcase their strength and talents. Our DBA Boyz Crew will focus on Acrobatics and various styles of as we prove to the world that Boys can dance too! :-) DBA Mini Boys Crew: New to our schedule this year is our mini boys crew. With the increased number of boys joining our dance family we want to make sure that our boys of ALL ages have classes to choose from. Our Mini Crew (ages 5-8), will also focus on Acrobatics and various styles of. Classroom structure will remain relaxed, yet structured, as we incorporate obstacle courses, props and instruments to learn about beats and our necessary skills, all while keeping our younger boys engaged and having fun! :-) Performance Company: Our Performance Company began in Season 2 to give our Star Dancers looking to perform more than just in our year end recital the opportunity to do so. Our Performance Company travels to charity events and fundraisers, community functions, nursing homes and many other venues as they spread their love and passion for the art of dance to people of all ages. Performance Company runs in segments; our Fall/Winter Company and our Spring/Summer Company. We run it this way to ensure that our Star Dancers still have the opportunity to explore other sports and extracurricular activities without being tied down for the entire dance year. All Performance Company Dancers are required to be enrolled in either a or Technique class (preferably both), on a regular basis. For more
