We have put together this packet to inform each participant and their parents/guardians of our program. 3 Paperwork Turn-in Day: July 5, 2017 Graziano's Pizza 6:00pm-8:30pm Parents must show up to turn in original certified birth certificate for first year cheerleader, Medical Release form, inherent risk form and any other forms. Failure to do so will prohibit child from participating on the first day of practice. Per Conference rules, no cheerleader will be allowed to participate in Southern California Conference Junior All American Football until she has attained a sound physical as attested to by a duly qualified Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathy or Nurse Practitioner or Physician s Assistant. A Doctor of Chiropractic and a Registered Nurse ARE NOT considered to be qualified to give a physical to a cheerleader and a physical WILL NOT be accepted from one. The SCJAAF Medical Release form must be signed, stamped and dated. Only SCJAAF Medical Release Form may be used; no other forms will be accepted. Forms can be downloaded from our website, if you did not get one at Registration. This record of physical exam must be within 4 months of the start of practice; physical MUST be performed after March 25, Practice Practices start Monday, July 25, Please be at the field (Citrus Community Park) and ready by 6:00pm. The cheerleaders must arrive wearing their practice attire; issued T-shirt, shorts, hair up in a high ponytail, socks and cheer practice shoes. No jewelry, nail polish, spaghetti strap shirts, Vans, Converse, or Sketchers are permitted. Girls must wear shorts and shirts that are appropriate and modest throughout the season. Coaches reserve the right to send a cheerleader home to change if these rules are not followed. The first week of practice each division will practice together. There will be no stunting the first week, only conditioning and reviewing cheers. Each cheerleader MUST complete 10 hours of conditioning before she can participate in stunting. If a cheerleader misses a day the first week, she will NOT be allowed to stunt until her conditioning time is completed. This is a Conference rule and must be followed. Once the football draft takes place, all girls will be separated into game squads. Siblings (football player and cheerleader) will be placed together if there is a Cheer Coach for that football team. If there is no Cheer Coach, then your cheerleader will be placed on another team. Your coach will expect your child to attend EVERY practice and to be on time! Their season will last from August to December!! We ask that you schedule your vacations accordingly. It is important to remember that you and your child have made a commitment to football and cheer. For your child to get the most experience, she should attend every practice, be on time and be prepared to participate. Any girl who will miss practice MUST contact the Head Coach prior to practice. Unexcused absences from practices may result in disciplinary action such as being benched from a game which may result in not being able to compete. PLEASE NOTE THAT YOUR CHILD WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PRACTICE IF HIS/HER MEDICAL RELEASE FORM HAS NOT BEEN TURNED IN. PHYSICAL MUST BE ON APPROVED SCJAAF MEDICAL RELEASE FORM

4 Practices will be held Monday thru Friday, 6:30-8:30pm for the entire month of August. Cheerleaders are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes early and are expected to attend EVERY practice. September to the end of the Season, practice is 3 days a week, Monday - Friday, 6:30pm-8:30pm (the days a team practices depends on team schedule the league establishes). Cheer usually practices Tuesday through Thursday. If your daughter chooses to do post-season competition, some practices may be scheduled during the weekend. Games Games are every Saturday, starting September 9, Our home games will be played at one of the High Schools in Corona. Our away games are in the Inland Empire some as far as Palm Desert or Murrieta. If your child s team makes the playoffs it is possible that your child will have games every Saturday through the first or second week of December (YES, this includes Thanksgiving weekend). Parent/guardian must provide/arrange transportation for your child to the games. Cheering at Football games takes priority over competition practices. Cheer coaches must plan accordingly. IF YOUR FOOTBALL TEAM LOSES DURING PLAYOFFS, YOUR CHEER SQUAD WILL CHEER FOR ANOTHER TEAM AND SO ON UNTIL THE SUPER BOWL IN DECEMBER. Team Fee A Team fee of $ is collected from each football team once players are drafted to teams. This fee goes to the league to helps offset League and Conference fees. Cheer parents must contact Football Team Mom in order to participate in fundraisers since cheerleaders are included in football banquets. Snack Bar Volunteer Time or Buyout Each family will be required to volunteer a 3 hour shift in our snack bar. Shifts will be Monday Friday, 5:30-8:30pm at Citrus Park or before/after a home game. If you wish not to volunteer your time in the snack bar, you can Buyout. The Buyout fee is $20 and must be paid at time of registration.

5 *****Important Please Read***** Many children will be coming to practice, so please drive slow and be careful in the parking lots. Do not park in the handicap spots to drop off or pick up, the handicap drivers need those spaces. DO NOT park on the RED curb, park only in designated areas. DO NOT double park. Park only in marked parking spaces. Any vehicle blocking another vehicle or blocking the flow of traffic will be towed at the vehicle owner s expense. NO PARKING will be allowed in the residential tracks bordering Citrus Community Park. If you choose to drop off your child/children, do not just drop off and leave. MAKE SURE A COACH IS ON YOUR CHILD S PRACTICE FIELD. If you do not stay for practice, make sure your child s Coach has a phone number to reach you in case of an emergency. Children are to be picked up from their practice fields and are not allowed to leave the fields until parents/guardians pick them up. We are not a babysitting service; pick up your child/children promptly after practice ends. Mascots and Micro cheerleaders must have a parent present at all times in case they have to go to the restroom or in case of an emergency. Please keep our fields clean and always use a trashcan. We get to use the fields and we would hate to lose them. Coaches and ADs, you are responsible in making sure that your field is clean before leaving. There will be ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOL, TOBACCO PRODUCTS OR ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES allowed anywhere, by anyone at practice or on the practice field or game locations. 1 st Offense-Violator will be asked to leave the field, 2 nd Offense- Violator and Cheerleader will be asked to leave the field. You MUST go to the parking lot to smoke. No pets allowed on cheer field. For ALL practices and games that are played on school property, you MUST leave school property to smoke!
