1 September 30, 2013 Dear Business Owner or Manager, The Palo Alto Knights Youth Football and Cheer organization provides a very positive athletic environment for approximately 150 young people 5 to 13 years of age. Youth Football requires a considerable investment in the safest, most modern equipment available. Besides uniforms and player equipment, the Knights organization must pay for the use of athletic fields, personnel to prepare the fields, equipment storage, liability insurance, referees, and emergency medical technician expenses to name a few. As school budgets have been reduced, organizations such as the Palo Alto Knights football program have become an important provider of physical education for today's active elementary and middle school youth. We re asking for tax-deductible donations of $1,000, $500, $250 or $100 to support our program. In return for your tax-deductible donation, we will feature your business in a full-page ($1,000), half-page ($500), quarter page ($250), or 1/8 page (business card size) ($100) advertisement in our 2013/2014 Program which will be published and sold throughout our season. The Program is a combination yearbook and game program it will contain team photos and individual photos, player numbers and other information about the 2013 Palo Alto Knights as well as advertisements from our supporting businesses. 2 2013/2014 Palo Alto Knights Yearbook It takes a lot of resources to run our football league. Our annual registration fees cover only part of our outgoing costs. We run our annual fundraising to assist with covering the costs of the program. The Knights are a registered 501(c)3 organization and donations are tax deductable. This year, as well as taking pledges and contributions for our Punt, Pass & Kick event, we are also assembling a Knights Yearbook, that contains photo s of all of our players and cheer leaders, the Yearbook is a great souvenir and keepsake for the families of our league and will be available later this season. We thank you for your support in helping us make the Knights into the best Youth Football and Cheer program that we can make it. 4 Punt, Pass and Kick Fundraiser, October 26/27, Palo Alto High School Football Field Please join us for this fun event that helps to fund our Palo Alto Knights program! It takes a lot of resources to run our football league. Our annual registration fees cover only part of our outgoing costs. We run our annual fundraising to assist with covering the costs of the program. The Knights are a registered 501c3 organization. Participants will punt, pass and kick the ball three times each, and the best yardages for each will be recorded. Prizes will be awarded to the first and second place winners for each team level. Requirements:. 1) A minimum donation of $35 per player is required to participate.. 2) We can only accept flat (specific dollar amount) donations.. 3) All donations for PP&K must be turned in prior to entering the event. Please!have cash or checks made out to The Palo Alto Knights with you on the day of the!event.. 4) We will not use yardage to determine donation amounts. Yardage will be only!be used to determine a winner and runner-up from each team who will receive!special first and secondplace prizes.. 5) Receipts for tax purposes will be only be given the day of the PP&K event. For each level of donation, the player will receive the corresponding prize plus all prizes listed at levels below. For example, a player donating $225 will receive the Hoodie, Hat, and a T-shirt.
