They lead cheers, encourage vocal support and perform advanced tumbling and stunting to energize the crowd and the players. Spirit Squad: the Spirit Squad is made up of cadet, including a number of cadet-athletes, who are committed to supporting their fellow classmates but whose own schedule does not allow dedicated time to fully integrate and practice as part of planned stunts, pyramids, etc. The Spirit squad participates at games by engaging to crowd both prior and during the games, acting as ambassadors of The Citadel Athletic Department, running the flags, and working with The Citadel marketing to promote Bulldog athletics. Mascot Squad: The Mascot squad is cadets that provides the crowd with the chance to interact with our mascot, Spike T Bulldog.
