1 RECITAL PACKET EPAC Proudly Presents Dancing with the with the Stars of EPAC In this packet, you will find all of the information regarding our Spring recital, picture dates and end of the year information. We hope this packet answers any and all of your questions. Returning students, please note that things change from year to year, so be sure to read the packet thoroughly. We are very excited about this year s show and we are extremely proud of all of our dancers! RECITAL TIME AND LOCATION RECITAL: Saturday, May 12 th (Show #1 at 11:00 am / Show #2 at 2:00 pm) Mandatory Dress Rehearsal Show #1 on Tuesday, May 8th at 5:30 pm Show #2 on Wednesday, May 9th at 5:30pm Magnolia High School Auditorium FM Magnolia, TX IMPORTANT INFORMATION Doors will not be open until 30 min. before the show!!! May tuition MUST be paid in full to participate in recital. Dancers need to ARRIVE dressed in costume with hair & makeup DONE! There is NO regular dance class the week of recital. Int., Jr. and Sr. Team ONLY will have a finale practice Mon., May 7 th Time TBA. Please do not save seats for the big day, seats are first come, first serve. No video cameras or flash photography allowed on recital day. There will be a videographer there to capture the moments for you. Cameras are allowed ONLY at dress rehearsal. THERE IS NO CHARGE TO WATCH OUR SHOW!!!

3 Dress Rehearsal SHOW #1: Tuesday May 8th from 5:30-7:30 pm SHOW #2: Wednesday, May 9th from 5:30-7:30 pm Meet in your assigned dressing room 20 minutes before rehearsal begins. There will be posted signs to tell you where to go. Come in your first costume and have your hair and make-up fixed when you arrive. Please wear a cover up over your costume. Make sure all costumes and accessories are labeled with the dancer s name. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Any dancers that are 3rd grade and under must have a parent present during the entire dress rehearsal. You may video dress rehearsal ONLY. We will have a professional videographer for the actual show. Order forms for videos are included in this packet. No food is allowed in dressing rooms or auditorium. Dancers may bring a water bottle back stage. Everyone should check for EVERY costume piece before leaving rehearsal. Things get crazy backstage. We want to make sure all of our dancers have all of their pieces for the big show. We do not have extra costume pieces and cannot replace lost items. We will have Magnolia Drill Team girls in the dressing rooms. They will be in charge of the dancers so that you may enjoy the show. If for some reason your child needs you, we will contact you. Dancers must stay in their dressing room at all times! We ask your dancer to listen and be respectful to the back stage Drill Team Girls. Failure to follow the rules may result in dancer being removed from the recital performance!!! We suggest that you bring something quiet to keep young dancer busy in the dressing room. Nothing that will get on their costume. (Cards, books, board games, etc.) All of our dancers will be in our finale. All of our 3-6 year old dancers will be assigned a BIG SISTER to dance with them during finale. These big sisters will be responsible for their assigned little one and will walk them back to their assigned dressing room immediately following the show. You may pick up you dancer in their assigned dressing room.

4 RECITAL DAY Saturday, May 12 th SHOW #1 at 11:00 am SHOW #2 at 2:00 pm Meet in your assigned dressing room 30 minutes before show time. ARRIVE in your first costume and have your hair and make-up fixed. Make sure all costumes and accessories are labels with the dancer s first and last name. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Be sure to COVER your costume so that it will be a surprise to the audience. Follow all of the same rules for dress rehearsal and the show will be a huge success! Please remember you will not be able to save seats for the show. Seats will be first come first serve. Parking can get a little hectic. Please try to be patient, everyone is here for the same reason. We want to make sure that everyone is able to get in and out of the show safely. MAKE-UP & HAIR Make-up should be heavier than normal, the stage lights tend to wash their faces out. The amount of make up on our little ones is completely up to the parents, but we do want ALL of our dancers to wear BRIGHT RED LIPSTICK. For little girl classes (3-6 yr.old) hair should be worn half up, half down (sides pulled up & secured with ponytail holder). For 1-3 rd Jazz/HH & 4-6 th Jazz/HH hair should be worn in a high ponytail with hair slicked and sprayed back. For company members, hair should be worn in a competition bun. 5 3 & 4 YEAR OLD DANCERS If you have a 3 or 4 year old performing in the show, they MUST stay with you in the audience during the first half of the show for rehearsal & recital. This applies for our 3-6 yr. old class as well. At intermission, you will walk them back to their assigned dressing room. There will NOT be an assigned person in their dressing room until intermission. Please make sure your child is in her costume with a cover up on and ready to dance while sitting in the audience. FINALE All of our dancers participate in our Finale. Students will keep on their last costume for the Finale. The big sisters assigned during dress rehearsal will be with our little ones during finale. They will walk them back to their dressing room immediately following the show. You will pick up your dancer in their assigned dressing room after rehearsal & recital. DON T FORGET ABOUT YOUR RECITAL VIDEO FORM, RECITAL PROGRAM AD FORM AND FLOWER ORDER FORM!!! Recital video order forms are attached in the back of this packet! We have a professional videographer to video our show. You can turn in order forms to the front desk with payment or purchase the day of the show. This year we will have Recital Programs that include every dancers name as well as Ads that you can purchase. These ads can include pictures and some sweet words for your dancer to cherish forever! Forms are attached and are to be turned in to the front desk. You will be able to pre-order your child flowers for their big, special day! This is a fundraiser for the Magnolia West High School Drill Team. They have included an order form in this packet if you wish to pre-order. They will also have a small amount of extras to purchase the day of the show, but I highly recommend pre-ordering! OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION Studio Picture Week Team and Class Pictures will be April 16 th - April 18 th. There will be no regular dance class Mon, Tues, Wed. Classes will resume Thurs & Fri. Details will be sent home with students about scheduled days & times. Be on the lookout for a picture flyer and order form.

6 kknkn DANCE CLASS WILL CONTINUE FOR 2 WEEKS AFTER RECITAL!!! The week after Recital is Bring a Friend To Dance Week! (May th ) -Our dancers can invite as many friends as they want to come to dance with them this week. Dancer or not we guarantee a funfilled day for our friends! The last week of dance is Hawaiian/Tacky Tourist! (May 21 st -25 th ) -Come dressed in your favorite Hawaiian Shirt or grab your fanny pack and binoculars and come as a tacky tourist! DON T FORGET TO REGISTER FOR SUMMER CAMPS AS WELL AS FALL DANCE CLASSES!!! ALL REGISTRATION OPENS APRIL 3 RD Registration Packets and Invitations for Company Teams come the week after Spring Break. (March 20th-24th) Invitations & Registration Packets will be handed out in class. If you are interested in our Prep Teams you can pick up that packet at the front desk on that week.
