1 DANCE USA DANCE 2018 FINALE PACKET JULY PLAYSTATION THEATER This Packet includes: Roles and Responsibilities Music Specifications Stage & Technical Specifications Live Voting List Of Grand Finale Awards Social Media Connect Have Questions? Conditions and Restrictions ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Media Group will appoint a Liaison for each dance group who will be their primary contact and will be able to answer any questions they may have. If you need any clarity do not hesitate to ask. 2. All dance groups will receive a unique registration number for their placement in the Dance USA Dance national competition from their appointed liaisons. Please DO NOT LOSE this number as it allows 5678 Media Group to keep track of all the dance groups. 3. Each team will be given a chance to rehearse for both events on Thursday July 12. (with costume) 4. Your appointed liaison will work closely with you to ensure all requirements are met. Please inform your liaison before June 29, 2018, about the following: a. Flight and Lodging b. Wardrobe (Please provide a picture of the wardrobe the dance group will wear at the event.) c. Personal Props (Please provide pictures of props that will be used. Note: Any props larger than 60 x 24 (inches) should be approved by 5678 Media Group at least 2 weeks prior to the event.)

2 MUSIC SPECIFICATIONS 1. The length of music for the performance should be 6:30 minutes maximum. 2. Only 30 seconds for grace period is allowed for props. 3. Music should be taken from ZEE library (See option 1 & 2 below). Option 1: Link: If you select option 1, you can download any music off of the Zee YouTube library and fuse it with an existing song. No music outside of these links must be longer than 29 seconds. Option 2: Link: If you select option 2, please give the name and code of the song, and a member of the 5678 Media Group team will send you the WAV or MP3 file. 4. Music more than 6:30 minutes wi ll result in a loss of points. 5. Music other than from the ZEE library should not be more than 29 seconds. 6. Grand-Finale: All Semi-finalists are recieve 29 seconds of music clip as picked by the judges to be incorporated into your finale performance. You should have already received it by now. Please contact your appointed liaison if do not have this. You are free to use this music in anyway you want as long as it used it in full during your performance. Creativity is expected and encouraged. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Attached you ll find the full specs for Lighting & Sound and Stage at the PlayStation Theater. See attached lighting and sound specifications. See attached stage specifications. If anyone has any requests for specific lighting or sound, you will need to fill out a Light/Cue sheet and it must be approved by june 24th by the 5678 Media Group team. 3 LIVE VOTING A live voting link will be shared with each member of the audience during Semi-Finale event. Each sign-in will be able to vote for one team only. Live voting will start at the Semi-Finale and end at the Grand Finale competition. The team with the most votes will win the Audience Choice Award at the Grand Finale. LIST OF GRAND FINALE AWARDS 1. JUDGES CHOICE AWARD SOCIAL MEDIA CONNECT We encourage you to take pictures and videos throughout the weekend and leading up to the showtime. Our graphic team is working on creating special Snapchat filters for the event. We encourage all of you to post pictures on social media using our dedicated hashtags #DUD2 #DanceUSADance. Here are a few points on commonly asked questions.

4 FOOD/SNACKS: All dance groups will be provided light snacks and water. During the day of the show, a food vendor will be present, and teams along with the audience will be able to purchase food directly from the vendor. (Kindly inform your appointed liaison if you have any food allergies that 5678 Media Group staff members should be aware of!) TRANSPORTATION: Teams are responsible for their transportation from Airport - Hotel, and from Venue to Hotel for Semi Finale. There will be a bus available for teams TO and FROM NYC for July 14 and July 15. We will let teams know where and when the busses will be leaving via . All updates will also be sent via . SWAG: Each team member will be given a complimentary T-Shirt, and a team flag, additional merchandise will be available to purchase at the venue. MINORS: All entrants under the age of 18 will need to have a guardian or parent with them at all times. Dance groups may have ONE guardian or parent that can watch over the entire group for the duration of the event. (The Guardian/parent will have to buy a general admission ticket ($). They will only be allowed in the holding area until the show begins. Parents/Guardians are not allowed in the green room, make up room, and backstage. We will have sufficient staff at location to take care of those teams. **PARENTS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED BACKSTAGE AT ANY TIME. CHOREOGRAPHERS: Teams can have ONE choreographer with them during the competition. This choreographer must carry a specific pass to be allowed backstage. The pass will allow backstage entry during limited times of the show set by production. Without a pass, no individuals will be allowed backstage. GREEN ROOM: Due to time and location constraints, each team will only be allocated a specific time and only 15 minutes for a final rehearsal. Teams are expected to come to the green room in their costumes, completely ready to do a full and final rehearsal of their performance. Teams that are not ready will miss their chance. TICKETS: The entry fee for The PlayStation Theater for all registered dancers including one choreographer per team is covered by 5678 Media Group. However, all other choreographers, chaperones, parents, siblings, and legal guardians must purchase tickets to attend the show. CONFETTI: No confetti or powder can be used, due to short time frame of the show. This may become a risk hazard for other teams as we will not have the time to clean up between performances. VIDEO & PICTURES POLICY: ABSOLUTELY NO PICTURES OR VIDEOS ARE ALLOWED DURING STAGE PERFORMANCES. SECURITY WILL ESCORT OUT ANYONE WHO DOES NOT FOLLOW THIS RULE.

5 CONDITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS The following will not be permitted in the performance at the FINALE event, unless with a written approval from the 5678 Media Group Team: No animals may be involved in the performances No sharp objects may be used No flammable objects or substances may be used No liquid products, i.e. gel, water, etc. If you have any questions about what objects and substances that can be used, please contact 5678 Media Group. Friends & Family Access 5678 Media Group welcomes all friends and families to attend for support. We just ask our attendees to keep in mind that only parents and guardians of participants under the age of eighteen (18) are allowed in the holding area. Parents/Guardians are not allowed in the green room, make-up room, and backstage. We will have sufficient staff at the location to take care of all teams. Family Environment Any participants or attendees under the age of 18 must be accompanied by someone who is at least 21 years of age to supervise the underage individual(s) through the entire event.
