Please have your daughter wear a tank, sports bra, or something under their clothing so they do not feel embarrassed when being fitted for uniforms. The uniforms were brand new last year and were very expensive. If for any reason, they are not returned or are returned in need of repair, you will be charged a fee and/or replacement price. All registration fees, concession stand deposits or waivers, and fundraising waivers (if chosen) must be paid at time of registration. Please note separate checks for concession stand and a uniform deposit of $150 is required. Therefore, you will need to bring 4-5 checks in order for your child to register. Arrival Times for fittings/registration on Sunday, May 15 th : Ponys: 11:00 Colts: 11:45 Stallions: 12:30 Little Mustangs: 1:15 Policies If your child has made the squad, it is highly encouraged and recommended that each cheerleader attend all camps, all practices, and all football games during the entire season You must provide your own transportations to the games (home and away). Directions to all games can be found on our website: You may only miss a game for a wedding, illness, death in the family or circumstances beyond your control & must notify Cheer Coordinator prior to game. Any other reason for missing a game will be considered unexcused and will be cause for removal from the squad. If your child is in a wedding, I must know before camp begins.
3 Camps All of our camps and Wednesday practices are run by the HS Cheerleaders as a fundraiser for them. If your athlete misses a day of camp for any reason they will need to make up the time missed. You will be charged for this make-up time. An additional daily fee will be charged to pull your athlete aside during the next camp day and teach them what they missed. This fee will be determined on a daily basis. (Fee not to exceed $50/day missed.) 1 st camp week: August 8 th & 9 PMFA fields from 6-8pm. August 10 th & 11 Crush Athletics (previously Steel City All Stars); Located at 5097 Old William Penn Hwy, Export Start times for Crush camp are as follows: Pony s: 9-10 Colts: 10-11:30 Stallions: 12:30-2 Little Mustangs: 2-3:30 2 nd camp week: August 15 th, 16 th & 18 th at PMFA fields from 6-7:30 No camp on WEDNESDAY the 17 th. ***It is imperative you have your child on time and ready for practice (Dressed with hair pulled away from face.) Also, please be sure your child has an extra pair of tennis shoes to practice in because outside shoes are not permitted in the CRUSH gym. We need to keep the spring floor clean and dry. During the Crush Athletics camp, we will take SHORT breaks for water, but please feed your child before they arrive as we will not break for them to eat ANYTHING. We want to get the most out of our camps, and therefore, must be productive with our time. Please make sure you child is picked up by 3:30p.m. on those days. There will be not be anyone there after 3:30 to sit with your child. Thank you for your cooperation! Weekly Practice We will hold weekly practices at the PMFA field starting August 24th. Subsequent practices will be Wednesdays & Thursdays from 6:00-8:00p.m. The Pony s will practice from 6:00-7:00. We will continue this until mid-season, weather permitting. Starting September 7 th we will only practice on Wednesdays. When the weather does not permit us to practice during the week, your team parent will contact you with alternate arrangements (such as coming to the game earlier that weekend so the girls may practice). As stated in the handbook, a parent or responsible adult must stay during the practices and games. This is important not only for the safety of your children but also to relay any important information to you. Fundraising **** To participate in PMFA s Cheer program, you must participate in PMFA s mandatory fundraisers, or pay to waive them ($160). You will be scheduled for 2 duties (concession, gate, 50/50, etc.) per child in the organization. As a guarantee you will work your duties, 2 checks in the amount of $25 each is required at registration for each child. Parents will be scheduled for 1 game day as well as 1 practice day per child. If the parent fails to show up for his or her shift or leaves before completing their shift, the check will be cashed. Once scheduled shift has been completed, the check will be given back to you. In addition, if you choose to opt into fundraising you are obligated to participate in additional mandatory fundraisers. (Lotto ticket/ Purse Bash/Our Fund/Tag Day/Car Wash) These fundraisers will total around the $160 but will be collected at different times. In addition to raising much needed funds to support the PMFA, we are hoping that these activities will help foster friendships, teamwork and camaraderie amongst our children and our families as we work together toward a common goal of making the PMFA the best youth organization in the area. Remember, this organization is run by volunteers; please do your part to help.
