2 SPRING LAKE THEATRE & DANCE OUR 36TH YEAR OF WORKSHOP & DANCE Are you interested in learning audition techniques or improving your craft as a triple threat in Theatre Workshop? Do you hope to elevate your talents in various dance disciplines including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary/Lyrical, Hip Hop and Jumps & Turns? Then SPRING LAKE THEATRE & DANCE is where you ll want to be! Steps away from the pristine beaches of Spring Lake, our community of eager students and talented faculty come together at 300 Madison Avenue to inspire, encourage and learn from one another. Our multifunctional facility is one-of-a-kind, as it houses two studios AND it s very own 356-seat theatre. Our Theatre Workshop Program allows children (grades 2-12) to excel in their strongest theatrical skills of singing, dancing or acting, while also learning and growing in the other facets of theatre. In May, each class will present a musical production with Broadway quality costumes, lighting and set design! Our Dance Program offers children (ages 3-18) classes in multiple disciplines for all levels, from the recreational dancer, to our award-winning competition students. We give each student the opportunity to grow up and learn in a supportive environment where they ll be challenged, inspired and make lifelong friends. Our Annual Spring Recital is May 31; June 1, 2 in our VERY OWN THEATRE! Don t miss your chance to become part of the Spring Lake Theatre and Dance family. There s always something wonderful happening here! Dance Families, please adhere to your Recommendation Sheets. Any deviation from the recommendations will need to be discussed at Registration on August 27 from 4-7 PM. Please feel free to register online if you only plan to sign up for what is recommended.

Dance Level Classifications: Level 1 - Beginning level for dancers who are graduating from combo classes or attending one-hour technique classes for the first time (2nd/3rd grade) Level 2 - Advanced

5 Dance Level Classifications: Level 1 - Beginning level for dancers who are graduating from combo classes or attending one-hour technique classes for the first time (2nd/3rd grade) Level 2 - Advanced Beginning level for dancers with 2 years of training beyond combination classes (3rd-5th grade) Level 3 - Pre-Intermediate level for dancers with 3-4 years of training beyond combination classes (5th/6th grades) Level 4 - Intermediate level for dancers with at least 5 years of training beyond combination classes (6th/7th grades) Level 5 - Intermediate/Advanced level for dancers with at least 6+ years of technical training beyond combination classes (8th/9th grades) Level 6 - Advanced level offering our most challenging classes. Dancers should have 7+ years of technical training beyond combination classes (10th grade & above) Beyond age, placement is ultimately based on each student s progress, understanding of technical concepts and commitment level. Because we truly believe that workshop will enhance your dancer's skills, we are offering a discount of $55 off of each month of workshop payment if your dancer is registered for four or more dance classes. *Students interested in taking lyrical/contemporary are highly recommended to supplement that class with a ballet technique class.
