Karin Averty Winner of the Grand Prix at Varna. Was a Principal Dancer with the Paris Opera Ballet. Awarded the National Merit Order by the French Prime Minister.

3 Faculty Gil Isoart Was a Principal Dancer with the Paris Opera Ballet. Winner of numerous prizes, and awards. Now teaches, and is rehearsal coach at the Paris Opera Ballet and at the Bolshoi Ballet, Moscow. Vladimir Stadnik Graduate of the Vaganova Academy in Russia. Danced as a soloist in Russia, W. Europe, and the USA. A graduate of the University of Culture, St. Petersburg, and of the State Conservatory Rimsky Korsakov. Now Assistant Professor of Dance at Ball State University, Indiana. Gina Chiavelli Was Adjunct Professor of Dance at Fordham University, and SUNY New Paltz. Now Director of Pinewood School of Dance, and a judge for Performance Awards. Louise Taitz Was a dancer with the Israel Ballet. Trained at the Royal Ballet School in London. Now, director of her own ballet school in Chicago, and a judge for the Performance Awards. Tova Tsoubery A graduate of the Jerusalem Academy. Also trained at the Bat Dor, with a teacher who was trained by Mignon Furman. Is a Performance Awards judge, & its organizer in Israel. Dean Vollick Has danced with several companies in the USA and Canada. A graduate of the Teacher Training Program of the National Ballet School (Toronto). Teaches at the Boston Ballet School. About Mignon Furman Our founder, Mignon Furman was an exceptional personality in ballet. A teacher, choreographer, and educationist, her talents, courage, and unwavering determination gave definition to her vision for ballet education. Her AAB Summer School is the premier summer school in America. Her Performance Awards are an international phenomenon. She was a superb choreographer. Her work had style, form, logic, harmony, and ultimately, beauty. Apart from Summer School, she choreographed 115 charming pieces for her Performance Awards, and 7 DVDs for the teaching of the technique of classical ballet. She was the Director of the University of Cape Town Ballet School. She formulated the program for 40 trainee teachers, and 400 students. She was nominated for the Distinguished Teacher Award from the entire University academic staff. 7 Fees Scholarships are available for teachers. Please call or for details. Per Day $125 Performance Awards affiliates / $150 non-affiliates Fees are exclusive of materials (CDs, DVDs, notes, etc.). These will be available for sale at the Teachers Seminar. Accommodations Option 1: The Westchester Hilton is about a 10-minute drive from the campus. This is an up-market hotel with an indoor, and outdoor swimming pool, fitness center and restaurant. A limited number of rooms have been reserved at a very discounted price of $155 per night for a double room, which includes breakfast for two (Regular price would be $274). The fee includes lunch and dinner in our dinning hall on campus. If 2 teachers attend from your school, they could share a room. Option 2: A limited number of Purchase College dormitory rooms are available including private bathroom and meals. The rate for single occupancy dormitory housing with breakfast, lunch and dinner is $120 per day for affiliates, $140 for non-affiliates; double occupancy rate is $80 per day for affiliates and $90 for non-affiliates.
