Interviews Live band and majorette performances. 10 am - 2 pm "I am a Work ~N~Progress Career Fair" Presented By: This event for families will include development activities, information and support designed to engage men and women in making informed career decisions as well as

2 multiple opportunities in employment and education. From resume writing to employment opportunities to your education needs, Work ~n~ Progress will create a distinctive experience for the attendees and their families, giving them the kind of practical information they can act on immediately to begin or continue to develop their professional lives. 10 am - 2 pm - Field Trip Day!!! For day cares and elementary schools (free play) Outside Free play for daycare and elementary school age kids! 2 pm - 4 pm - The Senior Prom - Dance Social for Senior Citizens - Inside Its a dance party for senior citizens and their friends! Dance and socialize to the current and hits from the past! Don't make assumptions. These seniors leave it all on the dance floor! The senior prom is open and free to all senior citizens.

Talent Competition - Outside Pictured is Memphis' own Lil Peanut who finished 2nd place at the My School Rocks Talent Show in 2009 at the Block Party and Picnic for Peace and now stars in his role as the voice Atticus the rapping penguin in Happy Feet Two. He currently stars in the Nickelodeon TV series The Haunted Hathaways.[2] On July 7, 2015, it was confirmed that he was playing in a new Nickelodeon show from Dan Schneider, Game Shakers. 5:30 pm 7:00 pm Know Your Rights Empowerment Panel discussion and demonstrations Inside

4 Saturday September 26, am - 10 am Healthy Steps 5K - Outside The Healthy Steps 5k hosted by Methodist Healthcare North Hospital will be held at the Ed Rice Community Center at 2907 N Watkins St in Memphis, Tn. The race will take place on the walking trails located on the same grounds as the community center. There will be volunteers along the course and a water station will be located at half way mark. The race will benefit A Step Ahead Foundation. Early registration fee $25.00 until September 14th. All registrations after September 14th will be $30.00.

5 Last day to register online is September 22nd. Same day registration will be available from 6:30am - 7:30am. Register online only. In its tenth year, this event is poised to serve attendees of the Block Party and Picnic for Peace with multiple interactive health and wellness related offerings. 9 spirited conversation revolving around some of today's hottest topics! This panel discussion will focus on domestic violence. Some of the questions are: Why do women choose to stay in unhealthy relationships? How were you able to overcome an abusive relationship? What did you tell your children? How did the situation affect them? Attendance is free for this interactive conversation. 3 pm 7 pm Tennessee State Domino Championship Inside The inaugural Tennessee State Domino Championship brings domino enthusiasts from Tennessee and other parts of the country to Memphis to compete for prizes, trophies, bragging rights and to be named Tennessee's first domino champion!
