I also understand that the directors have the right to change any rules if necessary. In addition, I know that the judges decisions are final, good sportsmanship is required at all times and failure to do so may result in disqualification. If disqualified for bad behavior I understand that I forfeit my entry fees and am not eligible for any awards. Contestants, parents and guardians release any images taken to ASBP for publicity purposes. Contestants must provide a stamped self addressed envelope for judges sheets to be mailed out to them. I also agree that the Owners, Directors, Pageant Staff, event location and host hotel cannot be held responsible for accident, injury or loss during the event or travel to and from the event. 4 Welcome to the 2018 Atlantic Seaboard Beauty Pageant Nationals Congratulations on qualifying for the 2018 Nationals. We hope you will take this opportunity to use this reign to build friendships that will last a lifetime and to make memories that will stay with you forever. We created this pageant system to empower all the young ladies who walk our runway as well as to giveback to our passion cancer research. We hope our queens will develop their own passions and we want to encourage and assist all of our contestants to use ASBP as an opportunity to develop a positive self image, a strong voice, and their individual talents, interests and public speaking abilities. 5 REQUIRED CATEGORIES BEAUTY COMPETITION: All contestants will compete in this event in the finals just as they did in the nationals. The beauty competition will begin with each age group entering the stage together in a group line-up. Baby Miss and Tiny Tot Miss contestants must have a parent or sibling on stage with them. All other divisions must enter the stage alone. All contestants will leave the stage and re-enter individually. Little Miss Contestants and older will be required to give a short on-stage introduction. This should include the contestants name, where they are from and what goals, ambitions, interests or plans for the future they may have. Then the contestant will take the runway hitting each star along the T. Younger Contestants will only have an emcee card read about them. Make-up can be worn but should enhance the contestants beauty and not over power it. The beauty competition counts for 40% of the score. PHOTOGENIC: Each contestant must also compete in the Photogenic Category. You must bring with you to the registration a professional quality 8X10 head shot with the name and age of the contestant clearly written on the back. It can be black & white or color but no Glitz photography will be accepted. Judging will be based on photogenic attributes of each contestant along with facial beauty and personality. This is 15% of your score. SPORTSWEAR: This should be a trendy upbeat outfit that is age appropriate for each contestant. This freestyle runway competition should demonstrate the personality of each participant. The models are expected to walk to upbeat music. This is 15% of your score. Interview: Each contestant will have a personal one-on-one interview with three judges. Questions may come from the contestants application form. Attire should be professional looking such as a suit or business style dress. Children under four do not compete in this category. This is 15% of your score. The following categories are optional but each contestant must pick one category to compete in. This category will represent the remainder of the 15% of each participants score. They include - Swimwear, Fitness Wear, Costume - (This can be anything you want it to be, it can represent your state, your culture, your ancestry. ) Patriotic. All runway competition is not to exceed one minute, ASBP supplies the music. Small props are allowed. Please make sure you hit each star on the runway. Judging is based on beauty, stage presence, energy and overall appeal. In addition to the optional category each contestant must pick, you may add any of the above optionals for an additional fee of $ There will be a winner in each optional category as well as an overall photogenic winner, sportswear winner and Beauty winner. Each of these ladies will receive a crown, a sash with the optional title, a trophy and a specially selected gift bag.

6 Optional Events (These are separate competitions) TALENT COMPETITION: $ Contestants must bring their own music on a CD labeled with their name & division. In addition the contestant should have a back-up CD on hand. Talent time Limit minutes & Only Small Props Allowed Each Division Winner Will Receive a Custom Trophy The Over-all Talent winner will receive Crown, Trophy $ savings bond and will be feature on our website Cover Model: $ Contestants must submit a digital image of high quality to sabrina@atlanticseaboardbeautypageant.com This should be a high quality head-shot. Winner will be featured on the cover of our national program and receive a crown & sash. The first runner-up will be featured on the back cover. Second & Third place winners will share spots on the inside back cover. POSE-OFF: $ This is in front of a camera, judging will be on how well the contestant moves in front of the camera, takes direction from the photographer, and on their photogenic appeal. This division is only open to contestants in the Mini-Miss Category & Up. There will be a winner in each category - They will receive two 8X10 images from the shoot, Trophy & Gift Bag The Over-all winner will receive a Crown, Sash & $ savings bond All Awards Will Be Presented During Our Final Awards Ceremony

7 Miss ASBP EXCELLENCE AWARD WINNER Atlantic Seaboard Beauty Pageant is dedicated to empowering young ladies, teaching them leadership skills, giving back to their community and voicing their platform. Are looking for an opportunity to voice your passion? All contestants age 11 and over are invited to compete for the title of MISS ASBP EXCELLENCE. The winner will receive a beautiful crown and sash, gift bag and $ savings bond. In addition they will be featured on our website and have many opportunities to make appearances throughout the year. The winner will also read their winning essay during our Final Showcase. Contestants should wear a business dress and be prepared to read their essay over the mic. 11 SEE YOU SOON N A T I JUDGES ASBP judges are all highly qualified, representing the modeling and entertainment industry. Judges bios will be announced at the opening of each event. Please remember that the outcome is just the opinion of these judges and with a different set of judges on a different day the results would be different. 100 is the highest score a contestant can get from a judge. Scores are based on beauty, confidence, poise, walk, style and attitude. The judges sheets are hand written and then calculated by a tabulator. Judges sheets will be mailed out after the event. Please bring a stamped self addressed envelope to registration. All doors will be secured with staff members, each contestant will receive one weekend band for a parent/friend included in your registration. All other wristbands needed must be purchased at the registration table. Everyone except for babies in arms must have a band. The cost is $30.00 for the week-end. When entering the ballroom - under no circumstances can you video tape, take photography, bring in alcohol or smoke. This is for the safety of our contestants.
