2 Open Weekends 18th 19th March Saturday and Sunday: We ve dusted out the Turret House, been practicing our tours and woken up Bess of Hardwick to make sure 2017 kicks off perfectly. 15th 16th 16th April Saturday: How many eggs can you find in the farm yard on our Easter Egg Hunt? Ranger Activity: Meet the animals Sunday: Tours and costume characters that bring history to life. 17th 18th June 20th 21st May Saturday: Dress up as a Tudor at our May Ball with have-a-go Tudor dancing. Ranger Activity: make a bird feeder Sunday: Join the Green Man for tales of the awakening spring, procession and crafts. Saturday: Discover archaeology tricks and techniques on our family Dig Day. Ranger Activity: Butterfly Hunt Sunday: Archery Day. Have-a-go archery and meet our medieval archer visit@greenestate.org

Ranger Activity: Butterfly Trail Saturday and Sunday: Join in with bee and butterfly wildflower meadow trails and crafts 19th 20th August Saturday: It s Summer Picnic time! (supported by Great Places) Ranger Activity: Jam making with soft fruit Sunday: Crafts Through the Ages: Get hands on with traditional and historic crafts. 16th 17th September Saturday: Help the farm team bring in the hay with working horse and traditional tools. Ranger Activity: Bulb planting Sunday: Bringing in the Hay - live music with a family-friendly festival vibe craft ale bar. Please note: our Ranger activity times vary. 6 April Easter on the Farm Saturday 15th April 10:30am 3pm drop in Manor Oaks Farm Join in with our annual Easter Egg Hunt. Search for lost eggs scattered throughout the farm yard, solve the riddles inside and get a chocolate egg prize. You will also find: bouncy castle* donkey rides* meet the animals Artist Studios Open Days plant sale Saturday 30th April and Sunday 1st May face painting Saturday 7th May and Sunday 8th May Egg Hunt: 3 per child Other activities charged separately The artists will be opening up their studios for you to see them hard at work. There will be bespoke and *weather craft items dependent for sale. 11am 4pm drop in Free visit@greenestate.org

Find out about the tools and techniques of traditional hand processes with demonstrations and in-conversation with the artists. See pieces being made. Buy something beautiful, unique and hand-crafted. May Masquerade Saturday 20th May Saturday 20th May Join us for a special evening opening afternoon tea, a craft ale bar, Cry Havoc! theatre group and Masquerade music and dancing at the Turret House. Dress up for the occasion and put on your dancing shoes!
