Upcoming Jackson Area Events and Information: December 3 rd, 7:30 pm Shines the Light 2015 Many Voices Choir Holiday Concert at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Jackson. November 26 th at 11:30 am Our Savior s Lutheran Church will be hosting Feast with Friends. For more information, see the attached flyer. November 28-29, The Gun Show will be hosted by the Sheriff s Reserve at the National Guard Armory in Jackson. Our local fire departments are working together to bring the 9/11 NEVER FORGET exhibit to the 2016 Martin County Fair. They are looking for donations to help make this happen. See more info below. Tickets are now on sale for the 7 th Annual Grand Ole Opry-Style Country Music Show at Colleen Anderson Insurance Agency. The Show is on Saturday, December 5 th at 2:00 and 5:30 pm. See the flyer below! Tickets are now on sale for the 4th Annual Jingle Mingle! (Formerly Holiday Gala) The Jackson Health Care Foundation presents Damon Dotson & His Band on Friday, December 4th at the Jackson National Guard Armory from 7 pm - 11 pm! Tickets can be purchased at Bank Midwest, United Prairie Bank, Fulda Area Credit Union - Jackson Branch, and from any Jackson Health Care Foundation board member. The Vendor/Craft Show is on Saturday, December 5 th, we have started taking reservations for vendor booths. Below please find the vendor agreement and other forms needed. We can take payment by phone. The Chamber is building its 2015 Holiday Fest parade float line up. See below for more parade float details and the parade entry form! Please contact the Chamber by December 2 nd for planning purposes. Please let the Chamber office know when you schedule your Holiday Open Houses so we can help promote them! 12 Jackson County Food 4 Kids Fundraiser Raffle St. Maarten Westin Dawn Beach Resort and Spa April 10-15, 2016 Trip will include airfare, hotel, and airport transportation. The ticket price will be $20. Winners will be posted on our Facebook Page following the drawing on February 12 th, This trip is donated by New Fashion Pork with all proceeds going to Jackson County Food 4 Kids. Jackson County Food 4 Kids is a non-profit organization that provides nutritious, healthy, child-friendly, single serving, non-perishable food items for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack on weekends and during holiday breaks.the Jackson County Food 4 Kids program was started in September 2014 at Riverside Elementary. In December 2014, Pleasantview Elementary was added to the program. As of September 2015, Immanuel Lutheran and Heron Lake-Okabena have also been added. With these additions, all food insecure K-5 th grade students in Jackson County are eligible to participate. We currently have 129 students receiving weekly food packs and holiday break vouchers for their local grocery store.the cost per child is $375 per school year. This raffle is one of our largest fundraisers and your support is greatly appreciated by the organization and every child enrolled in the program.
