1 Enclosed please find the Visiting Spirit Group Questionnaire to be completed and returned at your earliest convenience for your visit to Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. Once your questionnaire is received, a second packet of information will be sent that includes game day credentials, bus parking passes, practice time, campus maps and any other requested information. Please return the questionnaire as soon as possible so that we can make proper arrangements to ensure that your visit to Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium is a pleasant one. Texas Athletics requires that all Spirit Group vehicles/busses arrive at the designated parking area 1 hour and 30 minutes prior to scheduled game time. Visiting Spirit Groups will be met and parked on 23 rd street (see map) by Elsa Hagemeier with Texas Athletics. From there, you will be escorted inside DKR-Memorial Stadium through the North End Zone Service Tunnel (between Gates 7 & 8). All Spirit Groups will be required to stay in the area assigned to them located in front of section 18. At no time is any member of the Spirit Group allowed onto the field pregame, during the game, or post-game (i.e. Flag running etc.). Squad Size: Due to the scarcity of field space, Texas Athletics allows a maximum of 12 total individuals present on the field. This group is typically 10 cheerleaders/dancers in uniform, a mascot, and a coach. All cheerleaders, coaches, mascots, and any other spirit or traditions groups must have a field access pass upon entering the field. Any individuals present on the field without a field access pass will be escorted out of DKR-TMS and will not be allowed entrance through the duration of the game. If the university chooses to bring more than the designated field allotment of 12 individuals to have them rotate field time, these individuals must have a game ticket. Visiting team tickets are dispensed by the visiting team ticket office and Spirit Group tickets must be taken from the allotment for all individuals in excess of the 12 total field participants allowed. 3 Visiting Spirit Group Shelter In-Place & Total Stadium Evacuation Visiting Band Shelter In-Place If an incident requires stadium personnel to implement the game day Shelter In-Place strategy please make sure all band members and personnel located in section 32 exit the stands onto the field and head down the sideline directly to the north end zone service tunnel. Everyone needs to line up in the east portion of the service tunnel and await further instructions from your Texas Athletics department contact. Visiting Band Total Stadium Evacuation If an incident requires stadium personnel to implement a Total Stadium Evacuation please make sure all band members and personnel located in section 32 exit the stands and proceed out the southeast field gate and exit Gate 32. Walk north up the sidewalk adjacent to the eastside of the stadium towards your busses parked on 23 rd street. Texas Athletics department contact will be in touch to make sure everyone is accounted for. Visiting Spirit Shelter In-Place If an incident requires stadium personnel to implement the game day Shelter In-Place strategy please make sure all spirit squad members and personnel head directly to the University of Texas Cheer offices located field level in the north end zone. Await further instructions from your Texas Athletics department contact. Visiting Spirit Total Stadium Evacuation If an incident requires stadium personnel to implement a Total Stadium Evacuation please make sure all spirit squad members and personnel head directly to the North End field level tunnel and out the loading dock to access spirit busses on 23 rd street.
