1 Nick Competition Rules SpongeBob s Cracking Christmas Competition (the Competition) Just like school, we have a few rules (these Rules) which you ll need to know and follow whenever you enter a competition run by us, the promoter, Nickelodeon UK Limited (Company Registration No: ) of Hawley Crescent, London, NW1 8TT (Nickelodeon). These Rules include details about how to enter the Competition, opening and closing dates, prize details, and anything else Nickelodeon thinks you may need to know about entering the Competition. These Rules will apply to the Competition and by entering the Competition, you promise to follow and be bound by these Rules (which may be amended or varied at any time by Nickelodeon with or without notice) and by Nickelodeon s decisions, which are final in all matters relating to these Rules, the Competition, the draw and/or the results and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into. So be sure to get your parents/guardians to read and discuss these Rules with you. PARENTAL CONSENT 1. First things first before you enter the Competition, please get your parent s/guardian s permission to enter the Competition. Also there may be some costs involved to enter, for example, charges for using the Internet. So, please don t forget to also ask the person who will be paying the bill. Costs to enter may vary and it is advisable that the person paying the bill checks the current rates with their network operator. WHO CAN ENTER? 2. This Competition is open to all those aged 15 or under. 3. You must live in the UK or Eire to enter the Competition. A prize can only be sent to a UK and/or Eire address so if you have moved somewhere outside the UK/Eire after entering the Competition, your Entry will not be valid. 4. You are not allowed to enter the Competition if your parents/guardians or family members are employees of Nickelodeon, any other company associated with the Competition or their respective associated companies or agents. In these Rules, family members includes mother, father, brothers or sisters. PROMOTION PERIOD 5. The Promotion Period starts when the Competition opens at 00.00am on 1 December 2013 and ends when the Competition closes at 11.59pm on 24 December The Competition is made up of: (a) 24 (twenty four) individual daily prize competitions (each a Daily Prize Competition) which will take place on each day of the Promotion Period; and (b) one (1) overall grand prize competition (the Grand Prize Competition).

2 DAILY PRIZE COMPETITION 7. Each Daily Prize Competition will open for entries at 00.00am (Opening Time) and close for entries at 11.59pm (Closing Time) on each day of the Promotion Period. 8. To enter a particular Daily Prize Competition you or your parent/guardian will need to: a) watch Nickelodeon between 7am - 9am and/or 4pm 6pm on the corresponding day during the Promotion Period and look out for the SpongeBob character appearing on screen to tell a Christmas joke (a different character will appear in each Daily Prize Competition); b) go onto and select the character that you have seen on screen that day; and c) complete the personal details form, between the Opening Time and Closing Time on the corresponding day. Together (a), (b) and (c) above shall be an Entry. 9. If you want to enter a particular Daily Prize Competition Nickelodeon will need to have received your Entry by the Closing Time on the corresponding day. Entries received after this time will not be valid. 10. Nickelodeon is not responsible if your Entry gets lost, delayed, misdirected, undelivered, damaged or if you have technical problems trying to enter the Competition. 11. Please take care when entering the Competition to ensure that we have your correct details. Any Entries which are incomplete and/or can t be read clearly will not be valid and won t be entered for the Competition. GRAND PRIZE COMPETITION 12. All correct answers submitted to a Daily Prize Competition will automatically be entered into the Grand Prize Competition. The winner of the Grand Prize Competition will be drawn from all the correct entrants of the previous twenty four (24) Daily Prize Competitions. The closing date of the Grand Prize Competition is 11.59pm on 24 December 2013 (Grand Prize Competition Closing Date). 13. If you submit a correct and valid Entry into more than one Daily Prize Competition, you will automatically be entered more than once into the Grand Prize Competition. So if you submit a correct and valid entry into two Daily Prize Competitions you will be entered twice, if you submit a correct and valid entry into three Daily Prize Competitions you will be entered three times and so on. PRIZES 14. The prizes and number of winners for each Daily Prize Competition are set out below (each a Daily Prize and together the Daily Prizes):

The Grand Prize Competition winner together with their three selected guests (together the Grand Prize Winners) will receive a seven-night Western Mediterranean fly-cruise aboard Norwegian Epic (the Grand Prize). Details of the Grand Prize are as follows: a) The Grand Prize includes the following: i. up to 400 in travel expenses in respect of return travel between the Grand Prize Winners homes and London Heathrow airport (subject to paragraph d) below); ii. economy class return flights for the Grand Prize Winners between London Heathrow and Barcelona; iii. return transfers between the airport and port in Barcelona; and iv. a 7 night fly-cruise for the Grand Prize Winners sharing a balcony stateroom aboard the Norwegian Epic, including standard meals and entertainment. b) The Grand Prize can only be taken by a family of two adults and two children. A child is anyone between the ages of 6 months and 11 years (inclusive) on the

4 date of departure, and an adult is anyone 12 years of age or over on the date of departure. One of the Grand Prize Winners must be over the age of 21. c) The Grand Prize must be redeemed between 11 May 2014 and 19 October The Grand Prize winner can book to take the Grand Prize on their preferred date however dates are subject to availability, and booking must be confirmed before 31 January Once the initial booking is made, any changes to travel times dates or names will incur further costs, which will be the sole responsibility of the Grand Prize Winners. d) As set out in paragraph a) above, travel expenses of up to 400 will be provided as part of the Grand Prize in respect of return travel (economy or standard class) between the Grand Prize Winners homes and London Heathrow airport. Within 30 days of claiming the Grand Prize, the Grand Prize Winners must send: (i) their original receipts for travel; and (ii) a letter stating their or their parent s/guardian s bank, account name, account number and sort code to the Marketing Department, Nickelodeon UK Limited, Hawley Crescent, Camden, London NW1 8TT. On approval by the Marketing Department, Nickelodeon will reimburse the travel expenses by sending a cheque to the Grand Prize winner payable to the Grand Prize winner or their parent/guardian (as applicable). e) Save as set out above, no other expenses will be included in the Grand Prize. All other costs and expenses will be the sole responsibility of the Grand Prize Winners, including without limitation: i. any additional meals, including cover charges in speciality restaurants; ii. any additional entertainment; iii. any additional regional flights; iv. shore excursions; v. drinks; vi. personal expenses; vii. travel insurance; viii. passport or visa costs; ix. auto gratuity charges payable on board; and x. an on-board service charge of 7 per person per day which is payable at time of booking (service charge subject to change). 17. Any potential Grand Prize Winner will be required to sign an acceptance and release form in order to be eligible to win and/or participate in the Grand Prize, in addition to submitting copies of their passports for booking purposes and to confirm compliance with these Rules. Where a Grand Prize Winner is under the age of 18, their parent or guardian will be required to sign an acceptance and release form on their behalf. The Grand Prize Winners will be responsible for ensuring they each have a valid passport at the time of travel and all visas and passport requirements will be their responsibility. The Grand Prize Winners will also be required to provide a personal address for all Grand Prize related communication. 18. Events may occur that render the awarding of any Daily Prize or the Grand Prize (or any part thereof) impossible due to reasons beyond the reasonable control of Nickelodeon (including but not limited to natural disasters, Government travel warning or advisory or restriction applicable to the destination country, or any act or failure by the winner of a Daily Prize winner or the Grand Prize Winners). Nickelodeon will not be liable or responsible for any loss or damage suffered by the prize winners (or their guests) should they not redeem or be able to redeem a prize (or any part thereof) as a result of any such event. In particular, Nickelodeon shall have no obligation to substitute any alternative prize, cash equivalent or provide any other compensation.

5 19. The prizes are as stated and cannot be exchanged or transferred. No cash alternatives will be offered. 20. If Nickelodeon or any third party prize provider is unable to provide any of the above stated prizes, Nickelodeon has the right to award a substitute prize of equal or greater value. Each Daily Prize and the Grand Prize are subject to additional terms and conditions of the manufacturer or supplier. PRIZE DRAW 21. The prize draw for each Daily Prize Competition will be conducted on the day after that Daily Prize Competition. The prize draw for the Grand Prize Competition will be conducted on 2 January The winners of each Daily Prize Competition will be the first Entries selected randomly by Nickelodeon from all entrants who correctly selected the joke-telling character that appeared on screen that day in accordance with these Rules. The number of Daily Prize Competition winners will vary daily in accordance with how many prizes are available to be won (see the table at Rule 14 above). 23. The winner of the Grand Prize Competition will be the first Entry selected randomly by Nickelodeon from all entrants who correctly entered a Daily Prize Competition in accordance with these Rules. 24. Nickelodeon will try to notify the winners of each Daily Prize Competition and the Grand Prize Competition as soon as possible after each draw (generally within 28 days of the relevant draw). Nickelodeon will send out the Daily Prizes as early as possible (usually within 8 weeks of the Closing Time of each Daily Prize Competition). After the Grand Prize winner has been notified, they will be able to book the Grand Prize. 25. Nickelodeon may request a written agreement from each winner s parent/guardian that the corresponding winner complies with these Rules before sending out a Daily Prize. In addition, the Grand Prize winner and their guests (or their parent/guardian) will be required to sign an acceptance and release form in order to be eligible to win and/or participate in the Grand Prize. 26. Nickelodeon has the right to choose an alternate winner if: a) a winner does not comply with these Rules or Nickelodeon has reasonable grounds for believing that a winner has broken a Rule; b) Nickelodeon cannot contact a winner within a reasonable time after the Closing Time of a particular Daily Prize Competition or a reasonable time after the Grand Prize Competition Closing Date (as applicable); c) a winner s parents/guardians do not (i) agree to these Rules; (ii) want the winner to receive the prize; or (iii) give their consent as may be requested by Nickelodeon within a reasonable time; or d) if a winner does not accept a prize within the specified time period (if any). 27. Nickelodeon reserves the right to cancel this Competition at any stage prior to the Promotion Period or to shorten the time for entering the Competition during the Promotion Period, if Nickelodeon thinks it is necessary in its reasonable opinion, or if circumstances arise which are out of Nickelodeon s control. If the time for entering the

6 Competition is cut short during the Promotion Period, the winners shall be selected in accordance with these Rules from all eligible Entries received prior to such termination date. GENERAL 28. All changes to these Rules will be posted in revised terms and conditions on All Entries become our property and will not be returned. 30. Nickelodeon will not be liable to you for any delays or failure (whether in whole or in part) in carrying out its obligations in respect of the Competition due to circumstances beyond Nickelodeon s reasonable control. You will be solely responsible for any costs incurred by you as a result of such delays and/or failures. 31. Nickelodeon will not be liable to you for any loss or damage however it was caused (including without limitation in contract, tort or statutory duty) in connection with the Competition and/or prizes, other than death or personal injury caused by Nickelodeon s (and/or its employees ) negligence. 32. By entering this Competition you agree that Nickelodeon may use, in any and all media throughout the world forever as Nickelodeon in its sole opinion sees fit, your name, likeness, photographs and/or recordings, biographical information, any statement made by you, and your Entry to the Competition without payment or further consent if you are declared a winner. Nickelodeon may also require you to take part in such publicity (which may include taking your photograph, filming you or recording your voice) without payment or further consent and such publicity will be owned by Nickelodeon forever for use throughout the world as Nickelodeon sees fit. 33. Personal information collected from entrants will be used by Nickelodeon solely in connection with the Competition and will not be disclosed to any third party except for the purpose of operating the Competition and fulfilling the prize where applicable. 34. Any personal information collected by Nickelodeon for the Competition will be used in accordance with Nickelodeon s Privacy Policy set out at A copy can be obtained by writing to Nickelodeon by at letterbox@nick.co.uk or by post to Nickelodeon s address above, marked for the attention of The Data Protection Officer. 35. If you would like to know who s won the prizes for this Competition, please send a stamped addressed envelope to Nickelodeon at the above address marked SpongeBob s Cracking Christmas Competition within 60 days of the Grand Prize Competition Closing Date and we will send you the winners names and their home counties. 36. The rules in respect of the Competition are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and if there are any disputes the courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
