1 Guin Foss Parent Volunteer Information Volunteer Position PTO President VP Membership Job Description The President shall serve as leader and key contact for the PTO, preside at all PTO meetings, attend Coordinating Council meetings, appoint chairpersons for special committees, and coordinate the work of the officers and committees so that the PTO s objectives can be met. The Membership organizes annual PTO membership drive, maintains membership records, and develops the student address directory. Approx. Time Volunteer Commitment 1-2 Years Michele Macduff Phone or michelemacduff@gmail.com 1-2 Years Wynn Ngo wynn.ngo@gmail.com Shadow Volunteers The oversees all PTO fundraising throughout the school year. She/he is responsible for assisting with the preparation of the yearly budgets and fundraising goals to meet budgetary needs. The Volunteers is in charge of filling all committee positions of the PTO. Will do sign-ups and s or phone calls to remind parent volunteers of positions they signed up for. 1-2 Years Kirsti Cenci & Jerrin McHale 1-2 Years Christy Powers kirdnn@yahoo.com or jerrinmchale@gmail.com christy.c.powers@gmail.co m Treasurer Secretary Financial Secretary The Treasurer is required to make a written monthly report of all monies received, disbursed, and on hand. This officer is responsible for reconciling all bank statements, recommending policies and procedures to follow to ensure accurate accounting of all monies and cash received on behalf of the organization, and is responsible for filing all necessary forms with any local, state or federal governmental agencies concerning funds of the organization. The Treasurer shall submit all books for audit on an annual basis. The Secretary is responsible for taking and keeping all minutes of the meetings and attends to all PTO correspondence. She/he works with the President to prepare an agenda for all meetings and maintains a calendar of programs and events. 2 Parliamentarian 1st Day Packets See's Activities Committee Mom/ Daughter Tea Father/Son Event Promotion The Parliamentarian monitors all meetings to ensure that business is conducted in accordance with Robert s Rules of Order Newly Revised and the Bylaws of the Organization. She/he chairs the nominating committee and oversees the election of officers for the following school year. First Day packets are put together and ready to go for first day back. See's Candy is sold many times throughout the year to help with Outdoor Ed Camp. A group of parents of the 5th grade classes, this would include shirts, and yearbook signing party. Possibly include events mentioned below. 1-2 Years Kristy Ernt Day Board Members Various times per year + Chair Year Round Decide theme & event logistics, secure speaker and food. 1 Day + Prep Kristy Ernt, Christy Powers, Traci Gleason, and Patricia Kempe Decide theme & event logistics, secure speaker and food. 1 Day + Prep Promotion/Last day pizza party with cake and balloons. 1 Day + Prep Author's Tea Purchase food and juice for event, Set up/ Clean up, Take Pictures. 1 X Month Joane Soria, Wynn Ngo, Christy Powers Create form, collect student information and pass along information to Birthday Book Year Round Ms. Cindy and Mrs. Carter. Spring Fling - Carnival -Auction -Kitchen -Cake Walk Donations -Pre-sale Ticket Prep Manage all aspects of the Spring Fling Carnival. Each Sub-level has a sub-chair that works closely with the head chair of the carnival. Carnival is booth set up and booth ideas, Set-up and Clean-up event. Auction manages donations and creates a fun creative way of presenting items for auction/raffle. Kitchen purchases food and supplies for kitchen, presents ideas and keeps kitchen running smooth throughout carnival time. Cake Walk Donations will go out and ask for donations of cakes from various stores/parents. Presale Ticket Prep will collect orders and prepare tickets in envelopes with orders and bundle tickets in preparation for carnival sales. End of Year/Summer School Photo Day/Vision & Health For Photo Day: Get 2-3 volunteers to help collect classes and get lined up and help flow of photo day.
