1 To all South Alabama Mardi Gras society leaders, The Alabama Media Group, which includes Mobile s Press-Register and the AL.com website, will publish its 2014 Mardi Gras special section on Sunday, Feb. 9, Featuring the royals of the Mobile Carnival Association and Mobile Area Mardi Gras Association and their courts, the 2014 magazine will include descriptions and schedules of parades, tips for revelers and features on the Mobile-Baldwin Carnival season. The Mardi Gras special edition will inform South Alabama readers of the many activities your organizations offer to them, and share parade routes and other details helpful to parading groups as well as families and individuals attending the fun and entertaining festivities. We hope to include advance details on the numerous parades that roll through downtown Mobile and across Mobile and Baldwin counties. While our special Mardi Gras section will be similar to past years editions, it will cover more events and topics than the 2013 section. This season s format will also include a new, magazine style look more photos and more reader-friendly pages. The special section will serve as a guide throughout the Mardi Gras season. Forms for providing parade details and calendar events all at no charge are attached. Copies will be provided to MCA, MAMGA and PMGA and other Carnival groups as well. The deadline for returning the completed forms is Tuesday, Dec. 10, Forms returned after that date may not be eligible for publication. Information on how to invite the Masked Observer to your ball is also attached.
