All-Star Cheer includes tumbling, Dance and intricate chregraphy including level apprpriate pyramids and high-flying stunt. NO EXPERIEINCE IS NECESSARY! Nrthstar Cheer is the first rganizatin in Windsr t ffer cmpetitive All Star cheerleading t the athletes f Windsr and Essex Cunty. We are the nly made fr cheerleading facility in the area. Cheerleading is all we d and we d it very well. There is a prgram fr everyne! All athletes are placed n a team accrding t their age, Skill level and the amunt f cmmitment yu are willing and able t give t Nrthstar Cheer. All f ur teams are imprtant and will be treated the same by all f ur staff. We Are Family at Nrthstar. We are a family run rganizatin and all wh enter becme a part f ur family. We have family rates that make the sprt affrdable fr all wh lve cheer and their sisters and brthers, t. Our prices are very affrdable because we realize that Cheerleading is a financial cmmitment. We want every aspiring cheerleader t have the pprtunity at this amazing sprt. We ffer unlimited tumbling classes t all f ur registered athletes fr the lw price f $40 per mnth. Tumbling is an imprtant part f cheerleading and requires athletes t imprve their skills as they mve t higher levels f cheer. We ffer tw tumbling classes per week and ccasinally, specialty tumbling classes that will cncentrate f specific skills fr each level. We are ffering 3 prgrams level t accmmdate all cmmitment and incme levels. Lcal Cmpetitive (All Star Prep teams) 2 hur practices, ne day per week. Open t all athletes age 6 and up There will be n vernight travel fr this level hwever, travels t the U.S. fr cmpetitins required. The sessins will run frm September t January, and January t May

2 3-5 cmpetitins per year. Cmpetitins are nt mandatry. Yu must ntify the caches 30 day prir t the event if yu will nt be participating. Cmpetitins will be paid fr n a per cmpetitin basis. If yu have nt paid the fee 30 prir t the event yur athlete will nt be entered in the cmpetitin. Tuitin fees are paid per sessin at registratin r mnthly by direct withdrawal. A membership fee f $175 is due upn registratin. Athletes may leave the prgram with 30 days ntice with n penalty Semi travel All Star Cmpetitive Teams (All star Teams) 2 practices per week Opened t all athletes age 4 and up Limited vernight travel. Travels t the U.S. fr cmpetitins required. Yur cmmitment t this team will be frm July t April. There will be 5-6 cmpetitins during the seasn. Attendance at skills clinic and chregraphy sessin is required. The chregraphy fee will be charged t all athletes n the team. An additinal cmpetitin my be added upn qualificatin All tuitins and cmpetitins fees must be paid by direct withdrawal r preauthrized credit card payments nly. A $300 membership fee is required upn registratin. Unifrm and practice attire must be purchased. All cmpetitins are mandatry. All athletes wh leave the prgram within 30 days f a cmpetitin will be charged a $200 withdrawal fee. Preauthrizatin fr this fee is required. Full cmpetitive All star Teams (Summit Stream teams) A tryut and a full year cmmitment are required fr these teams Member will have 2-3 practices per week with an additinal tumbling class required Travel and vernight accmmdatins will be required. 3 There is a $250 withdrawal fee fr anyne leaving the team after chregraphy has been purchased. Preauthrized payment is required fr this fee. Attendance at skills clinics and Chregraphy sessins is required. All tuitin and cmpetitin fees must be paid by direct withdrawal r preauthrized credit card payments nly. All Cmpetitins are mandatry A unifrm and practice attire must be purchased A $325 registratin fee is due upn registratin. There will be a 25% discunt fr additinal family members in this prgram. THE EVALUATION PROCESS TRYOUTS The evaluatin prcess is fun and relaxed. Athletes will have the pprtunity t meet the staff and begin frging bnds with their fellw participants. Applicants will learn a shrt dance that they will perfrm in small grups n evaluatin day. We will als evaluate their gymnastics, and tumbling skills. Everyne is placed n a team. Please remember that many factrs will g int the decisin f where each athlete is placed. Keep in mind that all NSC teams are build t cmpete at a high level. Age: the age cutff date fr eligibility fr is August 31 st, Athletes may be mved t an lder age grup at the discretin f the caching staff. Yu must be 12 years f age t be eligible fr cnsideratin fr a senir team. Age Grid: Pre cmpetitive tiny prep, 3-4 years f age -Tinys, 4 t 6 years f age -Minis, 8 years f age and under -Yuth, 11 years f age and under -Junir, 14 years f age and under -Senir, between 12 and 18 years f age -Open Cmpetitive team, 16 and ver Team levels are determined by the caching staff. Each team will be placed at a level that we feel they will be able t cmpete safely and successfully. We try t match up athletes by level as much as pssible, but please remember that stunting, pyramids, jumps, dance, mtins and age are huge factrs as well. We will

Tumbling guidelines per level: Level 1: rlls and walkvers frnt and back, cartwheels, rund-ffs Level 2: walkvers frnt and back, Back and frnt handsprings (series and standing) Level 3: Jumps t Handsprings, Back tuck in series, frnt tucks (punch and series) Level 4: Standing tucks, standing BHS t tucks r layut, layut series, cmplex passes Level 5: Twisting flipping skills in series and standing, Jumps t back tuck, Series ending in twisting skills. REGISTRATION AND FEES Yur athlete will nt be cnsidered in team activities r chregraphy if they are nt registered. The fllwing must be submitted fr registratin: Nrthstar Cheer Infrmatin and waiver frm Nrthstar Cheer rules and regulatins frm Nrthstar cheer financial cmmitment acknwledgment frm Payment authrizatin frm with Vid Cheque Membership fee (registratin fee included) All tuitin and Cmpetitin fees must be paid by direct withdrawal r preauthrized credit card charges. All fees will be paid t Nrthstar Cheer Inc. Yu must submit a VOID cheque r credit card infrmatin at registratin alng with a payment authrizatin frm. The ttal amunt due will be divided int 7 equal payments frm August t February. All payments will be withdrawn n the 10 th day f each mnth. There will be a $25 charge fr all payments that are returned by the bank NSF. Sibling discunt: 2 athletes= 25% discunt fr 2 nd child ff f yur tuitin and tumbling fees nly. 3+ athletes= full tuitin, 3 rd athlete Free tuitin! Additinal siblings %25 discunt! There are n discunts n registratin r cmpetitin fees! Mandatry parent meetings will be held during the first week f cmpetitive team practices. All parents are expected t attend ne f these meeting in rder t make sure all rules and prcedures are cmpletely understd. *If yu are unable t attend

Fundraising pprtunities will be ffered t each family t ffset the cst f cmpetitins and ther team related expenses. The fundraising prceeds can help with all expenses during the seasn. Yu are nt required t participate in fundraising activities unless yu are n a bid Qualifying team. Funds will be transferred t NSC Inc. fr payments due and will be credited t the last payment due. There will be a nce per year $20 fee fr all family wishing t participate in fundraising activities. Unifrm: Our unifrms are custm made t fit each athlete. A depsit f $150 is required at the time the unifrm rder is placed. Full cmpetitive team unifrms run apprximately $300. A full listing f ptinal and required unifrm items will be available at during registratin. Prep Team cmpetitive unifrm ttal cst is apprx. $100. Chregraphy/Music: The cst f Chregraphy has been added t yur membership fee. Because f new industry wide rules gverning the prductin f music fr cmpetitive cheer rutines, an additinal music fee will be required at a later date. This cst will nt exceed $100 per athlete, pre rutine. Our music is custm made t enhance the rutines that ur chregraphers prduce. IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT TEAM TRYOUTS Evaluatins (tryuts): There is a $25 tryut fee fr all members, CASH ONLY! *Returning Athletes: All returning athletes wh bring 2 peple in with them fr evaluatins will nt be required t pay the tryut fee. Athletes wh have been members fr mre then 5 years will nt be required t pay the fee and will receive $15 ff f the level training fee if they bring 2 peple fr evaluatin. *THE TRYOUT FOR ALL ATHLETES IS SATURDAY APRIL 22 ND Athletes AGE 12 AND UNDER 10:00-12:00 (new and returning), Ages 12 TO 18 12:00-2:00PM (new and returning, ALL LEVELS) *If yu are unavailable fr tryut dates and times please call t arrange a private evaluatin time. Levels training MAY 8 TH THROUGH MAY 27 TH

6 Befre being placed n a team all athletes will be placed in a level training grup fr three weeks in MAY. June training is required fr all Semi and full cmpetitive athletes. There will be 2 practices per week fr each level fr the mnth f June. It is imprtant fr us t be able t thrughly evaluate an athlete skills and ptential befre final team placement are made. Training camp fee is $75 (plus HST). A tentative level training practice schedule will be psted n ur website calendar. Payments must be made during the first week f the training perid. Payments will be accepted at the gym during class times. *If yu are unavailable fr tryut dates and times please call t arrange a private evaluatin time. Team Registratin: There are 3 registratin dates fr all Nrthstar teams, Saturday June 3 rd, frm 10:00am t 2:00pm. Mnday June 5 th and Tuesday June 6 th frm 5:30 t 7:30pm. Mandatry parent infrmatin meetings will be held during the first week f cmpetitive team practices. The meetings will take place during yur athletes practice time. Team practices begin the week f June 5 th. A tentative team summer practice schedule will be available n ur website calendar after tryuts. Yu will als receive the summer tumbling class schedule at that time. Teams will be practicing in 3-week sessins with tw-week breaks between sessins. A full summer practice schedule will be available n ur website calendar as sn as all dates are cnfirmed. OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION Nrthstar Cheer Parents Club: The parents club is a separate, nt fr prfit, fundraising rganizatin put in place t benefit the members f Nrthstar Cheer Inc. The main gal f this rganizatin is t prvide fundraising pprtunities t ffset the cst f cmpetitins, unifrms and ther cheer related expenses. This is a vlunteer bard and all active members wrk very hard t make yur time with Nrthstar cheer run as smthly as pssible. Please make sure that yu are curteus and respectful when dealing with ur parent s club members. Team Reps: Each team will have a team Rep.. A team Rep. acts as a liaisn between the parents, caches and the parents club. Yur team rep will need all f yur cntact infrmatin t make sure yu are aware f all activities,

7 fundraisers, and imprtant infrmatin bulletins abut yur team. Yur team rep assumes the authrity psitin when caches are nt available and they are respnsible fr making sure all athletes are present and accunted fr at cmpetitins and ther team functins. Team reps will be nminated and vted upn. SOME OF THESE CLINICS ARE OPTIONAL, OTHERS ARE MANDATORY. YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED WHEN ADDITIONAL PAYMENTS ARE REQUIRED. Team Cmmitment Requirements Cmpetitive all Star Cheer is a very specialized sprt that requires each member f the team t be available fr practices t make the team successful. We require that all upper level full cmpetitive team members make a cmmitment t the team fr the full cmpetitive year. The quality f the perfrmance requires everyne t be at practice and ready t wrk fr every accmplishment. Unlike sccer r basketball we d nt have spare athletes wh can cme in and d the spt required if an athlete is unable t attend. The chregraphy is such that if a member is nt in attendance fr a number f

8 practices, the rutine and all teammates will suffer. We will grant excused absences fr sme schl functins and imprtant schlastic pprtunities hwever; all practices are mandatry! We at Nrthstar Cheer realize that there are unfreseeable circumstances that make it unavidable t miss practice hwever, we expect each athlete t be primarily cmmitted t ur teams. If yu are unable t make the cmmitment required fr ur full cmpetitive teams, we are ffering half year, lcal cmpetitive teams fr yu t participate n that d nt require a full seasn s cmmitment.
