5 Glistening lights and stars decorated this year s Wish Upon a Star Masquerade held on February 25th at Harlingen South. PTSA parents and volunteers helped make the decorations in the weeks leading up to the event. Beautiful tables draped in white and blue linens, fairy light table centerpieces, a chocolate and candy bar, a variety of foods and snacks were provided for the students to enjoy as they danced away the evening to the music of DJ Lando. As part of the tradition, girls wore beautiful formal dresses and carried elaborate masks. Dancing gave way to the traditional presentation of the Sophomore, Junior, and Senior Courts. Seniors Marco Castellanos and Grace Bell were named King and Queen of the 2017 Masquerade Ball. Members of the Senior court that were named Prince or Princess and King and Queen received royal crowns and scepters to help them remember this beautiful evening.
