6 In the spirit of Summit hosting Special Olympics basketball, tomorrow will be Jersey Day!

8 Special Olympics - Thursday, March 8th Special Olympics volunteers please report to the upper gym tomorrow at the following times: 8:30 - Buddy Captains & Official 8:50 - Buddies 9:00 - Cheer, Dance, Pep Band (unless a buddy) 10:11 (beginning of 3rd hour) - Victory Village volunteers If you are a captain or buddy, wear comfortable clothing, you will receive a shirt when you report. Officials wear your basketball warmup shirt. Victory Village volunteers, wear your organization's shirt or a Summit shirt. All volunteers MUST bring a sack lunch. Concessions will also be available but you will not be able to purchase lunch from the cafeteria.

9 Biodiesel Club Follow us on Who needs an Oil Change? The Biodiesel Club is selling Midas Oil Change coupons for $15 each. This is a great deal!! Coupons are only good at Midas of Fenton and they don't expire! Coupons are available from Mr. Peters in room 321 or Mrs. Hindrichs in the main office.

10 Poetry Slam Poetry Slam is March 23 during 5th and 6th hours. Get your free ticket in the library. Move fast because tickets are limited. If you want to read or perform see Mrs. Eggebrecht or Mr. Frank.

11 Theatre in Our Schools Month

12 Dance Team Tryouts If you are interested in trying out for the Silver Stars Dance Team, pick up a tryout packet from Coach Taylor in production. Packets are due March 23rd.

13 Boys Tennis Fundraiser On Friday, March 23rd, Lafayette will play Rockwood Summit in tennis. The match will be a Cancer Awareness Match. We are selling shirts for $15 and each shirt donates $9 to Siteman Cancer Center. Please make checks payable to Lafayette High School. Orders with payment are due to Coach Harwood by Thursday, March 8th. Find a tennis player and order one.

14 Yearbook Orders Order your yearbooks online at Our School Code is 8539 and the cost is $70.00.

15 A+ Cardinals Tickets If you received a 4.0 or higher GPA for first semester, the St. Louis Cardinals are rewarding you with two A+ Cardinals tickets to a baseball game during the upcoming season. Stop by and see Mrs. Schade in the Activities Office to claim your reward. CONGRATULATIONS!

17 Attention Seniors! Senior Field Day tickets on sale. Senior Field Day is April 3rd, tickets are $20 in the Senior office. All fines must be paid before you can purchase a ticket.

18 Attention Seniors Josten s was here on Friday, March 2nd handing out graduation products (announcements, key chains, etc) for those seniors who placed an order. If you did not pick up your Josten s order on Friday, all orders are in the main office, stop by the main office today for your Josten s order.

19 Teen Leadership Conference Any student who may be interested in attending an all day Teen Leadership Conference being held on Saturday March 24th can stop by the Counseling office to pick up an application. This is an event you would attend on your own, you must provide your own transportation and the cost is $25. The deadline to sign up is March 10th. See Mrs. Tucci in the Counseling Office for more info.

20 ZAPS ACT Prep Seminar The spring ZAPS ACT Prep Seminar will be held at Rockwood Summit on Saturday, March 24th from 9am to 3pm. Register at or call This is a one day ACT Prep seminar to help you get ready for the April ACT. Questions - see Mrs. Tucci in the Counseling Office.
