9 To In Miss CA(] Joi Noelle Brewer - be chosen Miss CAU is a major accomplishment in my life and yet another stepping stone to success. This is truly an honor that I will hold close to my heart and an honor I will cherish for a life time. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to represent such an exceptional university. Although my reign is only for a year, I will always carry that wonderful CAU spirit. I give thanks to God for without him none of this would have been possible, to the entire Clark Atlanta University family for all their love and support, to my friends who are always there for me, and to my family who has inspired and encouraged me to be the young lady I am today. I dedicate this entire Homecoming week to my mother, who's positive outlook has guided me through life and who continues to strengthen me with all of her love and support. I love you mom and remember you are my queen!!! 1st Attendant to Miss CA(J - - Marini Tazamisha Sturns Swahili Intelligent, sensitive and beauty. She is the proud daughter of Judge Louis E. Sturns and Sharon K. Foreman Sturns and the older sister of Kenya Sturns. She is a 21-year old graduating senior from Fort Worth, Texas majoring in Public Relations. Some of her hobbies include reciting poetry, working with children, volunteering for non-profit organizations, and modeling. She is an annual participant in the Black History Production Play, she has modeled in CAU annual fashion show, and for Pro-Line hair care products. program, CAU NAACP, PRSSA, Southern Christian Leadership conference-student representative, Volunteer for the University Plaza Nursery, Miss Junior , Her affiliations include: CAU honors Student Government Association, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, Pre-Alumni Council. After graduating in May, this young Texan plans to return to her home state and study Corporate Law at the University of Texas in Austin and perhaps someday enter the political arena like her father. My philosophy for success: Never put limitations on what you are capable of accomplishing. Be assertive and optimistic, and make your dreams a II reality.
