1 ALLEN HIGH SCHOOL ESCADRILLE 300 RIVERCREST BLVD u ALLEN, TX u TWIB NOTES: 10/15-10/21 BOO BOWL: ALLEN VS. JESUIT Our annual Boo Bowl is Friday, October 19 th. Scroll down to see the itinerary for Game 7/Boo Bowl. It will also be posted on Meals will be available for purchase in the cafeteria at 4pm. As in the past, students should dress up in costume instead of band uniforms. Everybody should be thinking of their costume for this annual tradition! All costumes must follow these three rules: (1) Costumes must be school appropriate and in school dress code, (2) You should be able to move freely and play your instrument while in costume, and (3) We must be able to see your face; no masks. During our inspection time, we will have a costume judging contest. Call time is 4:40pm on the track (scanning will begin at 4:40pm). CONTEST WEEK: UIL REGION 25 MARCHING CONTEST (SAT 10/20) Please scroll down to see the itinerary for this weekend s contest. It will also be posted on You need to come to call time ready for inspection: blue uniform shirt, long black socks, black band shoes, gloves, flip folder with music, hair up, no visible jewelry (other than one stud earrings), no make-up, and instrument in working condition. All academically eligible students are required to be at the competition. REHEARSALS THIS WEEK: WEATHER We will unfortunately be hit with some extreme weather Monday and Tuesday: rain and low temperatures. If the weather is cold only, we will be outside at all rehearsals. If the weather is cold and wet, we will be inside prepare for cold and wet conditions in case we are outside and it begins to rain on us. We will send a reminder text minutes before rehearsal begins for rehearsal location details and where to scan in for attendance. We should be back on track for good weather on Wednesday. Please check weather prior to rehearsal beginning and bring appropriate attire for cold and wet weather. CONTEST SCHEDULES AND IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW Thank you for your patience with the McKinney show last week. We have been battling weather all season and will continue to do so this week. Here are some notes for the remainder of the contest season: UIL Region 25 Contest McKinney Stadium o Scroll below or see for itinerary. o If we earn a Division 1 rating, we will be eligible for the next week s UIL Area C Marching Contest at Mesquite Memorial Stadium (10/27/18).
