1 Dear GCHS Band Parents, The GCHS Band has been invited to perform in the 2015 Macy s Day Parade in New York City, this is a very prestigious invitation and we are excited to represent Gulf Coast High School in this nationally televised parade. Please understand that this is not a mandatory trip, you may still be in the GCHS Band for the 2015/2016 school year and not travel on this trip. Please see the attached documents regarding the trip as the first payment, copy of student photo id or passport, and information sheet are due on January 20 th. Special note to 8 th grade parents of future GCHS Band Members If you are zoned for Gulf Coast High School and plan on being in the GCHS Band Program for the 2015/2016 school year (and plan on going on this trip) you NEED to make these trip payments (even though you are still in middle school). ALL payments must be made on time for ALL students. If for some reason you do not come to Gulf Coast High School or your trip payments will be refunded as long as you request a refund by May 15 th, Students Not Going on the Macy s Trip While we would love to have all of our GCHS Band Students go on this trip it is NOT mandatory for all students to attend this trip. You may still be in the GCHS Band for the 2015/2016 school year and not attend this trip. Not going on this trip will have no bearing on your student s grade. Future Flag/Dance Students Not Currently on Team Tryouts for the GCHS Flag/Dance team will be in March. Any student who makes the flag/dance team who is not currently on the team will not make any payments until AFTER the tryouts. Once tryouts are finished any new member will be able to get caught up on the payments from January and February. Refund Information Refunds will only be issued for students who move and do not attend Gulf Coast High School. If you are currently on the danceline/flagline and do not make the team for the 2015/2016 school year and have already made payments, you will be refunded all your payments. There will be no other refunds of any kind available. Refunds for the trip MUST be submitted by May 15 th, 2015, there will be no refunds after this time. It is your responsibility to request the refund. Gather at the flags on the 50 th street side of the Rink for roll check.
