This festival is the largest Jazz Festival in the United States and features hundreds of jazz bands and jazz choirs from all over the country. Our students not only had the opportunity to perform, be evaluated, and receive critique for and from professional jazz judges, but they were also able to listen to many outstanding high school, college, and professional jazz ensembles throughout the day. The KHS Jazz Band performed extremely well resulting in a 5th place finish in Class L4 out of 15 participating bands in their class!!! Congratulations to the jazz band members on this wonderful accomplishment!
2 There will be a voice acting club meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, February 10th from 2:15 3:30 pm There will be a mandatory meeting for all girls planning on trying out for Girls Tennis on Thursday, February 11th in Room 1122 during Advisory. Boys tennis meeting in the Café Thursday, February 11th at 9:05 am. If you cannot make the meeting see Ms. Morse - Reminder Diploma forms are due back to Mrs. Dastous, Ms. Malito or Mr. Lackner by February 12th. In addition your fundraising money and sheets are due back by Friday, February 24th please turn in to Mr. Lackner
3 FBLA WEEK February 8-12, 2016 Monday: FBLA Pride Day Wear your FBLA t-shirt or navy and gold Tuesday: Teacher-Appreciation Day Baked goods in Main Office provided by FBLA Wednesday: Blue Jeans for Babies Day Staff/Students WEAR JEANS TODAY $2 per sticker for students/$5 per sticker for staff All proceeds donated to the March of Dimes for Premature Babies Thursday: Recruitment Day/Lolli-Gram Sales New members can sign up at the recruitment table in cafeteria during all 3 lunches Write a Valentine s Day message, and we will deliver it to your Valentine on Friday Friday: Dress for Success Day All students are invited to participate Wear your best business attire Put your name in our drawing for a gift card during all 3 lunches
4 PE Make-ups will be held Thursday, February 11 and Wednesday, February 17 from 2:30-3:45pm in the gym. Comedy Night hosted by Scott Higgins: Date: Saturday, February 20 th at the Danielson Elks Lodge on 13 Center Street Cost: $25 per person or $40.00 per couple. The night is Featuring Tom Stewart & John Morris, Headlined by Christine Hurley. DJ and dancing to follow the comedy show. Time: Doors open at 6:00pm, Show begins at 7:00pm and dancing is from 9:00 to midnight. Bring your own appetizers and desserts. Tickets can be purchased at Danielson Surplus on Main Street or you may contact Cindy Morse at KHS. Band and chorus students are selling Lyman Pies now through February 17th. Delivery will be in time for Easter. Please see any students or Mrs. Guillot for details.
