1 2014 Marshall County Fair Preteen, Teen & Miss Beauty Pageant Sunday, May 2pm Benton Community Center - Benton, KY (directions are attached - GPS NOT recommended) Preteen, Teen & Miss Pageants 2pm (CST) CONTESTANTS WILL BE ACCEPTED FROM ALL KENTUCKY COUNTIES (You must be a full-time student of a KY school or a KY resident to participate) Former winners can not re-compete unless changing age divisions. Age requirements are as follows: Preteens must be 8 by July 1, 2014 and no older than 12 on October 31, 2014 Teens must be 13 by October 31, 2014 and no older than 15 by October 31, 2014 Miss must be 16 by October 31, 2014 and no older than 21 by October 31, 2014 $40 ENTRY FEE EVERYONE except CONTESTANTS are REQUIRED to pay a $5 admission FEE; (children 5 and under get in free) DEADLINE: WE MUST RECEIVE ATLEAST A PHONE CALL BY 9PM ON SATURDAY, MAY 17 (CST). ENTRIES NOT MAILED OR PHONED IN BY THE DEADLINES WILL BE CHARGED DOUBLE THE ENTRY FEE ($80) TO PARTICIPATE. ONLY CASH WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THE DOOR. There is NO rehearsal. Contestants can practice on-stage during the check-in times listed below. ALL contestants MUST CHECK-IN from 12-1:30 pm ONLY. Those who do NOT are subject to disqualification. (Refunds will NOT be given). ONLY 1 PERSON PER CONTESTANT IS ALLOWED IN THE DRESSING ROOM Wardrobe: Preteen and Teen contestants will ONLY compete in floor length evening gown (formal dress). They will introduce themselves on-stage in their gown. Miss contestants will introduce themselves onstage and model a solid, one-piece swimsuit, with taupe or clear shoes. They will then compete in formal evening gown (long pageant or prom dress). (Order of events attached) A FINAL ONSTAGE QUESTION MAY BE ASKED TO DETERMINE THE PRETEEN & TEEN WINNERS. A FINAL ONSTAGE QUESTION WILL TO DETERMINE THE MISS WINNER. ************************************************************************************************************ PRIZES: There will be a 4th, 3rd, 2nd and 1st runner-up in each age group. Winners will receive a crown, banner, prize package, CASH and their entry fee and 1 room paid for 2 nights to compete at their state competition. 2 2014 Marshall County Fair Preteen, Teen & Miss Beauty Pageant Order of Events ***************************************************************************************************************** PAGEANT STARTS AT 2pm Miss Swimsuit - Contestants will introduce themselves onstage and model a solid, one-piece swimsuit with taupe or clear shoes. Preteen Evening Gown - will ONLY complete in formal evening gown (formal dress). They will introduce themselves on-stage in their gown. Teen Evening Gown - will ONLY complete in formal evening gown (formal dress). They will introduce themselves on-stage in their gown. Miss Evening Gown - long pageant or prom dress. ANY Group requiring a top 5 or more will be called at this time. This will be a line-up only. Contestants will NOT model individually again. At this time the judges will make their final decisions - a final question is ONLY a for sure thing for MISS finalists. Preteen and Teen finalists will only answer a question if the judges can t agree upon a winner without it. CROWNING of the 2014 Miss Preteen Marshall County; 2014 Miss Teen Marshall County; & 2014 Miss Marshall County!!!! Sample Introduction: (this is ONLY a suggestion) Good afternoon, from Graves County I am contestant #99, Crystal Riley. (Stage layout attached) Score sheets will NOT be made available to ANYONE after the completion of the pageant. Judges are also not available for ANYONE to speak with after the pageant. The results are the OPINIONS of the judges and therefore it is our policy not to make this information public. Please if you have a problem with this please feel free not to attend - as this is STRICTLY enforced.

I am not married, have never been married, had a marriage annulled, or given birth to a child. I will have a copy of my birth certificate with me the day of the pageant. If I am crowned the 2014 Miss Preteen/Teen or Miss Marshall County Fair I understand that I must attend the State Fair Pageant before I can receive my prize money.
