1 2018 Grove City College Wolverine Marching Band Camp Schedule Wednesday, August 15 Arrival 12:30 2 p.m. Check-In (PFAC Lobby) Band officers, drum majors, percussion, color guard, tubas, and band managers arrive Pay for shirts, shoes, etc. Get locker assignments Uniform measurements Move into residence halls after check-in 4 p.m. Welcome Meeting (Arnold Recital Hall) 4:30 p.m. Equipment Distribution Drumline equipment setup Color guard equipment distribution Sousaphone distribution 6:15 9 p.m. Rehearsals / Meetings Drumline rehearsal (PFAC, Little Theatre) Color guard rehearsal (Outside, weather permitting) Drum major and non-drumline/non-color guard officer meeting (Music Conference Room) Sousaphone sectional 9 p.m. Return to Residence Halls
2 Thursday, August 16 8:30-11:15 a.m. Rehearsals Drumline rehearsal / audition for parts (PFAC, Little Theatre) Color guard rehearsal (Outside, weather permitting; Large ensemble room in case of rain) Sousaphone sectional 9 a.m. Meetings Band managers meet with Instructor May (Music Conference Room) Drum majors / non-drumline / non-color guard officers meeting (Professor Erb s office) 10 a.m. Finalize Setup & Prep for Band Check-In 11:15 a.m. Noon Lunch (Hicks Hall) Noon Check-In (PFAC, Lobby) 12:15 4:15 p.m. Rehearsals Drumline (PFAC, Little Theatre) Tuba sectional (Ketler Auditorium) Color guard (Outside weather, permitting; Large ensemble room in case of rain) All others assist with check-in, shoe measurements, etc. 12:30 2 p.m. Band Check-In for Non-Drumline / Color Guard / Officers Pay for shirts, shoes, etc. Get locker assignments Uniform measurements Please note that the official Wolverine Marching Band t- shirt is considered part of your uniform. Instrumentalists should wear this under their uniforms at all times, and frontline members should have it on hand for any informal performances. Shoe fitting New students move into residence halls after check-in 4-4:30 p.m. New Majorettes / Marquettes Uniform Measurements (PFAC, Arnold Recital Hall) 4:30-5:30 p.m. Full Ensemble Welcome Picnic (Outside PFAC, weather permitting; inside in case of rain) 5:30 6 p.m. New Band Members Meeting (Ketler Auditorium) 6 8 p.m. Rehearsals Instrumentalists on stage (Ketler Auditorium) Color guard / majorettes / marquettes (Outside, weather permitting; Large ensemble room and Ketler lobby in case of rain) 8-8:30 p.m. Break

8 Thursday August 23 - First Performance on Campus & Pictures 9 a.m. Full Band Report to PFAC (dress in uniform) 9:30 a.m. Pictures in Uniform (PFAC steps) Black socks/shoes/etc. Note that instrumentalists are to wear the official Wolverine Marching Band t-shirt under their uniforms at all times. Consider the shirt part of your uniform, otherwise we won t look uniform and cannot remove the jackets at football games, festivals, or other events such as freshmen convocation. 10:15 a.m. March to the Wolverena for Freshmen Convocation (bring folders with all music) 11 a.m. Assembly Starts Noon Freshmen Convocation Begins Return to PFAC to hang uniforms and store equipment Final band camp clean up. Help from ALL upperclassmen is expected. 1 p.m. Band Camp Concludes EARLY IS ON TIME, ON TIME IS LATE, AND LATE IS UNACCEPTABLE.
