26 TECHNICAL INFORMATION TRAINING CAPABILITIES SafeWaze offers in-depth, certified training programs by OSHA-authorized trainers at many facilities across the country. Hands-on, problem-solving, and professional classroom techniques are incorporated into every course. Current OSHA and ANSI standards and regulations are covered with any necessary training materials and manuals. A certification card is issued to each trainee once training is complete. In addition, we are able to provide on-site training classes in your plant or facility. On-the-road demonstration trailers are one of our valuable tools to field fall protection training. When large numbers of employees at plants or job sites need training, these units make it easy to come to you and provide the training you need. 27 FP BASICS - HOW TO PUT ON A HARNESS 6 Easy Steps That Could Save Your Life Hold the harness by the back dorsal D- ring. Shake harness to allow all straps to fall into place. Pull leg straps between legs and connect to opposite end. Repeat with second leg strap. If belted harness, connect waist strap after leg straps. Use care to insure straps are not twisted If chest, leg, and/or waist straps are buckled, release straps and unbuckle at this time. Slip straps over shoulders so D-ring is located in the middle of your back between the shoulder blades Connect chest strap and position in midchest area. Tighten to keep shoulder straps taut. After all straps have been fastened, adjust all buckles so that harness fits snugly but permits a full range of movement. Pass excess strap ends through web keepers and adjust to keep web ends taut.
