1 NOTES FOR APPLICANTS 1. To be considered for membership all applicants must qualify for membership according to the Membership Qualification and Rights spelt out in section 4.1 of the LLCC constitution: (a) Persons who are below 18 years of age shall not be accepted for any category of Membership without the prior written consent of their parent or guardian. (b) Ordinary Members: Any person resident in Singapore who is of Sri Lankan heritage may apply to be an Ordinary Member. The Committee may from time to time admit as Ordinary Members persons not otherwise qualified for ordinary membership provided they have, in the opinion of the Committee, served sports, especially cricket in Singapore, with distinction and provided further that such members shall not exceed 10% of the total ordinary membership at the time of admission. All persons applying to be an Ordinary Member may be required to attend an interview before the Committee for the purpose of determining the admissibility of the applicant as an Ordinary Member. (c) Associate Members: Any person resident in Singapore and not of Sri Lankan heritage may apply to be an Associate Member. (d) Visiting Members: The Committee may approve as a visiting member any person of Sri Lankan heritage visiting Singapore but not ordinarily resident in Singapore if proposed and seconded by two (2) Ordinary Members, each of whom has been a Member of the Club for more than a year. (e) The Committee shall in its sole discretion accept or reject any application for membership. 2. 4 4.0 DECLARATIONS BY APPLICANT Disclaimer: LLCC is not liable for any losses suffered due to participation in sporting activity endorsed or conducted by or on behalf of LLCC. Therefore LLCC encourages all members to purchase a personal insurance to cover against any unforeseen events resulting in participation in sporting activity. *Insurance Indemnity Clause: I, the undersigned, do hereby indemnify and hold harmless the Lanka Lions Cricket Club, its affiliates, organizations and businesses involved in any event or tournament conducted/participated by the Lanka Lions Cricket Club, for any injury, which may occur before, during, and after any event or tournament. I understand the risk and dangers to me and to my property while participating in sport practice sessions, sporting activity/cricket matches and tournaments and assume full responsibility to ensure my own safety and for all the risks and losses I may receive. I willingly and freely give up all my rights to make any claims whatsoever, should I suffer any such loss, on my own behalf or my heirs, personal representatives, successors and relatives against the Lanka Lions Cricket Club, their management, members, officials and representatives.
