3 SA HOLT CHALLENGE TEAM ROLL-OFFS ELIGIBILITY Nomination is open to all bowlers meeting eligibility criteria: 1) For both tournaments: a. Be a resident in the Zone for which the roll-off is being held b. Have attained, or will attain, the age of 18 years on, or prior to, the first day of the Holt Tenpin Bowling Carnival in the current year c. Have competed in at least eight (8) weeks of league competition, bowling a minimum of twenty four (24) games in a single league within the Zone for which the roll-off is being held d. Must be a TBA registered bowler 2) For the Restricted tournament: a. Male bowlers must not have an average exceeding 184 b. Female bowlers must not have an average exceeding 174 3) For the Classic tournament: a. Male bowlers must not have an average exceeding 199 b. Female bowlers must not have an average exceeding 189 AVERAGE Bowling information as at 31 st December 2018 Please list all leagues during This includes ALL leagues and leagues finishing midyear, end of year or any unfinished league with 24 games or more bowled. HANDICAP Handicap will be applicable to bowlers scores when used towards the Restricted team, and shall be 100% of the difference between the bowlers average and a threshold of 200 SMOKING and CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL Smoking, and the Consumption of Alcohol is prohibited from the first practice ball bowled until the last competition ball is bowled on each day. DISPUTES Any disputes or complaints must be lodged with the Tournament Director within fifteen minutes of the alleged infringement. BOWLING ATTIRE All bowlers are required to wear a shirt with a collar and tailored pants/shorts/skirts. Bowlers must present themselves in neat and tidy bowling attire with no jeans/jean shirts, football shorts, stubbies shorts or hats to be worn whilst competing without the approval of the Tournament Director. GENERAL RULES AND INFORMATION 1) All TBA Tournament Rules & Regulations will apply 2) Any Holt Challenge specific rules apply 3) Any matters not covered in the conditions will be decided by the Tournament Committee 4) If a Team vacancy arises the spot will be filled by the next available bowler who participated in the roll-offs 5) Depending on the outcome of fundraising events throughout the year, individual bowlers will be required to pay all expenses remaining

4 SCHEDULE DAY 1-7 GAMES Bowland Salisbury Saturday 2nd February 2019 Check in by 9.00am Failure to check-in by the required time on the first day of the trials will result in automatic disqualification A briefing will occur prior to the commencement of play DAY 2-7 GAMES Zone Bowling Woodville Sunday 3rd February 2019 Check in by 9.30am Late arrivals on the second day will be permitted to bowl, but the score will be zero for all frames missed. Any games affected by missed frames will not be counted toward the Trials average used at the Carnival SELECTION OF TEAMS At the completion of the 14 games, the Tournament Committee will announce the teams for both the Restricted and Classic Challenges, based upon the following; 1) HOLT RESTRICTED CHALLENGE TEAM The top seven (7) male, and top seven (7) female bowlers based on total score with handicap will be declared the Holt Restricted Challenge Team for the current year a. In the event of a tie for either the final position or the first position in either division, a one game playoff will be conducted with the winner taking the higher position b. Handicap shall be applied as normal to the playoff game. 2) HOLT CLASSIC CHALLENGE TEAM The top four (4) male, and top four (4) female bowlers based on total scratch score only will be declared the Holt Classic Challenge Team for the current year a. In the event of a tie for either the final position or the first position in either division, a one game playoff will be conducted with the winner taking the higher position REPRESENTATION at TROPHY EVENTS The top qualifier in each team, male and female, will earn the right to represent the zone at the relevant trophy event during the current years Holt Tenpin Bowling Carnival THE HOLT TENPIN BOWLING CARNIVAL The 2019 Holt Challenge Teams will compete in the Holt Tenpin Bowling Carnival. 10 th August to 22 nd August 2019 Sunset Superbowl - Toowoomba All bowlers who are not successful in making the teams are welcomed to attend the Holt Tenpin Bowling Carnival to participate in the other events. Further information can be found at MEMBERSHIP FEES Every bowler who wishes to Roll-off for the SA Holt Teams will be required to be a Financial Member. 5 PAYMENTS The following information is applicable to either team and in the case where a bowler makes both teams or going away for both weeks the higher payment will apply to offset their preliminary cost. Costs for the Challenge Teams include Accommodation, Travel, Selected meals, All Events Entries, Uniforms, Dinner Tickets and Challenges The costs must be paid as per the following payment schedule or you will be removed from the team. First payment of $100/$200 will be required on or before Sunday 24 th February 2019 Second payment of $200/$400 will be required on or before Sunday 17 th March 2019 Third payment of $200/$400 will be required on or before by Sunday 14 th April 2019 Fourth payment of $200/$400 will be required on or before Sunday 12 th May 2019 Fifth payment of $200/$400 will be required on or before Sunday 16 th June 2019 Sixth payment of $200/$400 will be required on or before Sunday 7 th July 2019 Final payment will depend on Fundraising and will be due on or before Sunday 14 th July 2019 If the final payment of the full balance cannot be met by the due date, the person involved will be deemed ineligible to participate in the Holt Challenge for the current year. No refunds will be given for any fundraising. Any costs incurred for Uniforms, Deposits etc will be deducted from any payments made
