This year Myrna and Len are back in charge of the day but they need a lot of volunteer support from all our members. Please take a minute and look at the notice board to sign up to help out in a variety of ways. The flags and signs are already up on San Joaquin Hills Road and the Crown Drive entrance. Next Saturday, May 5th, we want volunteers to do our annual spring cleaning. Be at the club at 9:00 a.m. to help out with cleaning the benches, trash cans, windows, etc. before we start the usual Saturday social bowling. The weather interfered with a couple of our events last month, but two events went on as planned. Congratulations to Maryna, Heather and Eva on winning the Chris Hyland Triples, and Simon, Mert P. and Fred for winning the Vet-Novice triples event. On May 1st, the Guest League kicks off and will run every Tuesday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. for the next two months. Contact Ray or Doug if you want to help out. Happy bowling.

Join your friends The more people, the easier the work Summer 2012 BBQ will have 3 Summer Sunday BBQs June 3, July 22 and Aug 26 June 3 will be catered by Team Groothius A sign-up sheet for the remaining BBQs has been posted. Gather up a team of your favorite grillers and helpers. Your crew provides the food and the costs are repaid through the BBQ fees. It is always a fun afternoon of bowling and evening of socializing with your friends. Sign up at the club now. We wish Dave Phillips a speedy recovery from his shoulder surgery. He will hopefully be back to full form soon. We hope Clark Wescott will soon be on his feet after breaking his hip in a fall from a bicycle. He should have stuck to bowling.
