1 Kankakee Bowling Association Hall Of Fame The Hall of Fame Committee members are appointed by the Kankakee Bowling Association President-Elect. The committee will consist of a chairman and four(4) members, all current KBA Board members. Guidelines for Hall of Fame Induction: 1 - The board of directors of the KBA shall annually elect candidates to the Hall of Fame of the Association in accordance with he criteria to follow. The purpose shall be to perpetuate the names of those who have displayed outstanding ability in the game of bowling and/or have contributed through meritorious service, to the general welfare and progress of the game in the area served by the KBA association. 2 - Candidates shall be selected from one of the following categories: Active Bowler - an individual who through his bowling skills has demonstrated consistent bowling achievements greater than that attained by average performance. Measurements of this level include high average accomplishments, tournament and individual awards on actual pin fall. Veteran - an individual whose accomplishments would qualify for selection, but documentation may not be available. Meritorious Service - an individual who has contributed to the betterment of bowling through personal efforts and contributions. 3 - A candidate shall have been or is currently a member of the KBA for a minimum of 15 years. This rule would not necessarily apply for a deceased member. 4 - Nominations for the KBA Hall of Fame may be made by any member of the KBA. Such nomination shall be presented in writing to one of the following: A - President B - Secretary C - Hall of Fame Committee Chairman Nominations may be presented any time during the year, except that they must be received by February 1 for consideration during the current bowling season. 5 - The Executive Board of Directors will elect a maximum of 2 candidates in the bowling category and 1 candidate in the meritorious service category each year. A candidate must receive at least 70% of the vote to be elected. A secret ballot will be used to vote for the candidates. All candidates nominated in a given year but not elected will remain eligible for election automatically for the next 2 years. KBA HALL OF FAME APPLICATION - PAGE - 1

2 6 - Hall of Fame candidates will be screened by the Hall of Fame Committee. 7 - Persons inducted into the KBA Hall of Fame shall be presented appropriate award at the Annual Awards Banquet. Go to page 3 to view Application KBA HALL OF FAME APPLICATION - PAGE - 2
