8 WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO? 1. Create a TeenMastersBowling.com Profile. All finalists must have a complete profile on TeenMastersBowling.com. Timeline: Now! 2. Register for Nationals. The next step is to pay your registration fee of $250. Those finishing in a division s top 20% at a regional qualifying event will see a credit of up to $250 to spend against the registration fee. The Direct Entry fee includes the national registration fee. Timeline: Now! 3. Purchase your Equipment Package. The standard equipment package includes the two Ebonite bowling balls, a Pursuit or Pursuit-S and a Black, Gold & Silver Cyclone, plus the two personalized sublimated national finalist shirts from High 5 Gear. Three discounted packages are offered for those who already own one or both of the required bowling balls. You will find the packages by clicking the ProShop tab in your profile. Ball will ship as soon as the purchase is made. Shirts will be delivered in Cleveland. Deadline: June 1, Purchase Your Hotel Package. The Teen Masters has secured discounted rates at several hotels by purchasing over $100,000 in hotel rooms. You must purchase one of these packages or pay a $50 opt out fee. The hotel packages will be available in the TM ProShop. Hotel rates will range upward from a low of $64 per night. When purchasing your hotel package, please note that QUANTITY refers to the number of nights. Participants arriving on Sunday, July 8 and staying until Friday, July 13 th will purchase 5 nights. 10 LEVEL THE PLAYING FIELD How do you allow one bowler to stand out from the rest? By making everyone the same. Ask 100 recent bowling tournament winners what the most common comment they heard after victory is and odds are 99 of them will tell you it was "What ball did you use?" All too often it is a bowling ball rather than the bowler that t receives credit for victory. And all too often it is a bowling ball that t is given blame when success is not achieved. In this age when having a bowling ball arsenal and 'matching up' are considered by many to be the keys to success, the Teen Masters will determine its champions by putting the emphasis back on the individual bowler and their ability to make adjustments via technique and finesse rather than frequent ball changes. It may sound counter-intuitive, but by making everyone the same, the Teen Masters will allow everyone to be different. By having everyone use the same bowling balls, we are leveling the playing field for those who cannot afford to purchase, drill and travel cases of bowling balls to a competition. The spotlight will be where it belongs: on the talent and ability of the individual bowlers. By taking this simple step, the Teen Masters will: Simplify the competition. Reduce overall equipment costs. Increase the importance of technique. Reduce equipment transportation costs. And most importantly, when the Teen Masters champions lift their trophies high, they will hear: "GREAT BOWLING!"

11 2012 EQUIPMENT PACKAGE A $500 Value! The 2012 Teen Masters Equipment Package includes the following: TWO PERSONALIZED SHIRTS FROM HIGH 5 GEAR PERSONALIZED WITH YOUR NAME AND YEAR OF HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION These shirts must be worn with black slacks during all official Teen Masters competition. Additional Teen Masters shirts may be purchased from High 5 Gear. All shirts will be delivered in Cleveland at check-in. AN EBONITE PURSUIT OR PURSUIT-S AND AN EBONITE CYCLONE AN EBONITE PURSUIT OR PURSUIT S AND AN EBONITE CYCLONE Those already owning the Pursuit and/or Cyclone balls have the option to purchase a discounted Equipment Package that does not include them. In addition to the two balls finalists will receive, they may also bring an optional plastic ball for use on 2 nd deliveries. You can still be a part of bowling s longest running national championship youth event by purchasing a Direct Entry to Cleveland l for $299.
