4 A warm welcome from the Chairman Welcome to the Masters World Series 2016 in Birmingham, England. The city, the club and the organising team look forward to greeting you all. This booklet includes details of the tournament entry arrangements. Please ensure that you take note of the key deadlines for entry and associated forms and payments. In addition to this Entry pack I will soon be distributing a Hospitality pack. This will provide you with significant assistance and savings regarding accommodation and flights through our event partners. It will also offer more detailed information about the Opening Festival and Closing Ceremony plans. 5 Tournament Eligibility All players/officials must be registered with their Country governing body to participate in any WICF event In specified age internationals, proof of age MUST be supplied before the event and, if necessary, upon demand by the WICF or member of the organising committee. Copies of passports for all players are to be submitted to the Tournament Director on or before Thursday 20th October 2016 Participation is determined by RESIDENCE and NOT passport or country of birth. However if a player has played for any country in any WICF event and now wishes to play for a different country by virtue of the fact that he/she is now resident in that different country, then the original country governing body needs to release the player and should not unreasonably withhold such release Dispensation to eligibility criteria may be considered in special cases by the WICF following written submissions which must be received 60 days in advance of the Tournament All decisions on eligibility shall be made by WICF and shall be binding Countries should ensure that all players, coaches and officials have access to and understand the contents of this document Eligibility dates Over 35s (Men & Ladies) Born on or before 21 October 1981 Over 40s Born on or before 21 October 1976 Over 45s Born on or before 21 October 1971 Over 50s Born on or before 21 October

6 Tournament Venue B I R M I N G H A M Glasgow Marsh Hill, Erdington, Birmingham B23 7EY. UK The centre was opened in 2014 after taking over a former Birmingham City Council leisure centre. For the event a third pitch is being installed, the gymnasium is being relocated, and a hospitality marquee is being added. The Opening Festival day and Finals day will be ticketed entry.
