4 why strikers The main reason behind the new series, Strikers The Bowling Champions, is to give bowling a place on TV. As amateurs of the sport, we must work to ensure that bowling has its place in living rooms from across the country. If we want to have more people in our bowling centers, our sport must be seen by the masses. Television is the medium of choice to achieve this goal. The new series, Strikers The Bowling Champions, is an extremely attractive show with lots of action and a remarkable production. We have the perfect recipe to revive bowling across the country. Our primary purpose is to produce a television program that will be broadcast in both the anglophone and francophone communities across Canada. This is the time to act! We are fortunate to have a young and dynamic team that wants the success of this television show. We must work together to make things happen and to ensure that the bowling situation improves. When bowling gets the place it deserves on TV, we will all be winners! 6 7

6 what does this mean for you?: Cost: $100 per lane, up to a maximum of $1 500 Due to our association with The 3 Brewers, we are proud to announce that during your qualifying rounds (November 15, 2016 to March 6, 2017) you will have the opportunity to buy La Strikeuse beer by 30 liters kegs ($5,20/liter including delivery charges). The goal is that each bowling center member acquires a few kegs (4) to encourage our main sponsor. Run qualifying squads The qualifying rounds in your center are at your discretion. Note that 100% of the funds raised in qualifications return directly in your pocket. Strikers The Bowling Champions are happy to announce that there will be 11 shows of tenpin bowling that will be recorded in Rules: la strikeuse microbrew craft beer The 3 Brewers Microbrewery is proud to present this new blonde ale with fruity and subtle aromas. It is designed specifically for the members of the new Strikers The Bowling Champions television show. Visit the website: The player wishing to participate must play a qualifying round in a member center. The bowling center member will qualify 1 out of 3 players for the provincial finals during the qualifying rounds. The qualifying rounds can vary. They can be in the form of tournaments or even qualifications during league play where a player pays an extra that day and their score counts towards qualification. The player can try to qualify as many times as needed. During qualifying, if there is a tie amongst the players qualified for the provincial final, all players will make it to the provincial final. If there is a tie in the provincial final for the first and second round, all players will make it to the next round. For the third and final round, if there is a tie, the players will play a 9th and a 10th frame roll off. For all disputed cases in the provincial final, the organizing committee will make a final decision, and without appeal. The organization reserves the right to change the rules without prior notice. There will be qualifying in Quebec and Ontario. A week before the provincial final, we will announce the final number of players who will bowl the provincial final at Salon de quilles Montmorency in Quebec and the number of players who will bowl the provincial final at (location TBD) in Ontario. There will be 32 spots on TV up for grabs. Depending on the number of players who participated in your in house qualifications, you must send 1 out of 3 players to the Quebec provincial finals, if you re in Quebec, or to the Ontario provincial finals, if you re in Ontario. Deadline to submit the names of the players who qualify for the Quebec and Ontario provincial finals: March 6, You need to send in the names of the players and their qualifying scoresheets to Stéphane Lépine at: lepine.stephane@videotron.ca 12 13

8 Last Chance Tournament: Date / Time: Sunday March 5, 2017 at 1:00PM Location: Salon de quilles Montmorency, Quebec Entry Fee: $300/player Format: A Division 5 games total pinfall 1 out of 3 will qualify for the Quebec Provincial Final Quebec - Provincial Final: Date / Time: Sunday March 12, 2017 at 10:00AM (2 squads if needed) Location: Salon de quilles Montmorency Entry Fee: $50/player Format: First round: 3 games, 50% of players qualify for next round Second round: 1 game, 50% of players qualify for next round Third round: 1 game, top 32 scores qualify for TV (exact number to be determined on March 6 vs the number of players who qualify in Ontario) Ontario - Provincial Final: Date / Time: Sunday March 12, 2017 at 10:00AM (2 squads if needed) Location: to be confirmed Same as Quebec provincial final. TV Recordings: Date: March 25-26, 2017 Location: to be confirmed Saturday March 25: Recording 7 shows. Sunday March 26: Recording 3 shows in the morning and the grande finale in the afternoon. The matches will be held in a Skins Game format. The Skins Game format translates as a one on one match where each frame in worth a certain amount of money (amount to be determined). The person who gets the highest score for each frame wins the amount. If the 2 players are on a string of stikes, the amount grows each frame. The winner will be the person who won the largest amount of money during the game B Division The matches will be determined by a bracket format with two divisions of 16 players (A and B) based on the scores obtained in the provincial final of Quebec and Ontario. The highest seed will face the lowest seed. See here above diagram.
