2 Tournament Rules: 1. The tournament is a two day event on January 24 and 25, Shift times are: 10:30 am, 1:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m both days. Bowlers do not have to enter all 3 events. 2. The tournament manager has the right to cancel a shift if required. 3. This tournament is sanctioned by CTF. Entrants must be CTF members. Non-CTF members wishing to participate without securing high-score recognition must pay a participation fee of $5.00. Non-CTF members who wish to qualify for CTF awards must purchase a CTF affiliate membership for $ The tournament consists of teams, doubles and men s and women s singles, handicap and scratch events 5. Bowlers may enter an event more than once however they may cash only once in Singles, only once with the same partner in Doubles, and Teams must change a minimum of two bowlers to cash again. Bowlers may cash in both Handicap and divisions if both are entered. 6. Re-entries will be accepted up to 1 hour prior to the start of each shift. 7. Intent to enter the Optional Male or Female All- Events ( and/or Handicap) must be declared before bowling the first event. If a bowler enters an event more than once, the first series bowled in the event will be used for the All-Events scores. 8. Entrants must use their highest CTF sanctioned league average based on a minimum of 21 games at December 1, If no sanctioned league average for the current season, the sanctioned average for the previous season, based on a minimum of 21 games, will be used. All other entrants will bowl scratch. Rule 319a. 9. If, at the time of bowling, an entrant has a current average for 21 games or more that is 10 pins or more higher than the entering average, the current average must be used. Rule 319a If a bowler has exceeded his/her entering average by 15 pins over 21 or more tournament games in the past 12 months, he/she must submit his/her adjusted average. Rule 319e. 11. Youth bowlers are now eligible to bowl Adult Events, and can receive cash. Rule 19 has been rescinded. 12. If an entrant has earned prize winnings in the last 12 months, +$ must be reported. Rule 319d. 13. Bowlers are responsible for verifying their own average, whether submitted by the bowler, team captain or others. All averages will be verified. Failure to use the correct average shall disqualify the score if submitted average is lower than the correct average, thereby resulting in a lower classification or more handicap. Prize winnings shall be based on the submitted average if it is higher than the correct average. Rule 319a Corrections in average are permitted up the completion of the first game of a series. Rule 319a Entry fees must accompany entry forms. NO POST-DATED CHEQUES. Please make cheques payable to: Foothills Tenpin Association. RESERVE LANES EARLY 16. Bowlers must report to Tournament Committee at least 30 minutes prior to shift time. 17. Lane schedule will be posted one-half hour prior to start of shift. 18. If any change in a team or doubles lineup is desired, it must be registered at least 30 minutes before entrants are scheduled to bowl. Rule 324a. In case of accident or emergency, the entry fee may be refunded. In case of an emergency after a game has started, substitution will be allowed in Teams and Doubles events ONLY. 19. Handicap will be 100% of the difference of the bowler s entering average and a scratch of Prize money will be returned 100%. Minimum payout prize list based on pre-registration will be posted. Payouts may increase subject to reentries. 21. Any protest affecting eligibility or general playing rules must be reported immediately to the Tournament Management and confirmed in writing within 72 hours of occurrence. Rule Tournament Committee will enforce all rules and regulations and resolve all questions or disputes not covered by these rules. CTF rules will govern all rules not covered in these rules and regulations. 23. Equipment abuse will not be tolerated. 24. NO FOOD, DRINK, CHILDREN OR SPECTATORS ALLOWED IN THE BOWLERS AREA.
