1 TDM n the Web Fr 2014 turnaments, Turnament Directrs will nly be able t run turnaments using TDM n the web. As lng as there is an internet cnnectin, ne can access TDM n the web. Please nte that TDM n the Web des nt have any cncept f uplad/dwnlad like the desktp versin; all f the infrmatin is available in real time. HOW TO ACCESS TDM ON THE WEB 1. Lgin t TennisLink using yur USTA Membership# and passwrd 2. Under Administratin Area n the right hand side, Click My Turnaments a. This will shw yu all f the turnaments that yu have administrative access ver 3. Yu will see a clumn called TDM a. Click n TDM t access that specific turnament Hw T Use TDM On The Web Belw is infrmatin and instructins fr using the scheduling mdules in TDM Events: This tab displays all f the events that yur turnament was sanctined fr. When yu click n an event, the players registered fr that event will shw belw I. Edit Event: T edit event, click this tab. The Event Prperties Bx will pen. The Event Infrmatin prperties will be pre-filled with the same infrmatin that was entered in the Online Sanctin Frm.

2 Draw Infrmatin: This tab allws yu t indicate all f the ptins that will be taken int cnsideratin when making the draw i. The Playff ptins Include Tp 4: Used fr a Third Place Playff Players wh lse in the semi-finals in the Main draw will play-ff fr Third and Furth Place in the turnament Tp 8: Used fr Seventh Place Playff Players wh lse in the semi-finals in the Cnslatin Draw play ff fr seventh and eighth place in the turnament. ii. The Separate tp 4 and Separate tp 8 allws yu t specificy the tp players in a particular grup. These players are then separated int different quarters f the draw. Fr instance, if yu chse Separate tp 4, yu will then g t grups and create grups that will allw yu t separate the players, such as by Sectin. Frm this grup, yu wuld click n the player name and then the number the player by rank. iii. The Byes Bttm up feature first assigns byes t the seeded players in descending rder. The remaining byes are placed at the extremes, the tp and the bttm. The first by ges n the first available dd-numbered line abve the bttm line; the secnd n the first available even numbered line belw the tp line, etc. Once the seeded players and the byes have been assigned, the rest f the draw is filled in with the remaining players being placed n the unccupied lines in randm rder.

3 iv. Blck seed R-3: This places the selected players directly int the Third Rund. This can vary depending n the size f the draw. Fr instance, in a draw f 64, it wuld put the blck seeded players feeding int the rund f 16. v. Blck seed R-4: This places the selected players directly int the Furth rund. Again, this can vary depending n the size f the draw Scheduling Infrmatin: This screen indicates the minimum Rest Perid. The rest perid is the time between the start f the first match and the time f the secnd match. This is the sum f the actual match time and the rest time. It defaults t 3 hurs r 179 minutes f rest. The Rest Perid indicates that the system, when using the autscheduling feature, will allw 3 hurs frm the start f ne match t the start f the next match fr an individual player. 179 minutes is typically the rest perid used fr the Best 2 ut f 3 sets. If yu are using a different scring, frmat, yu can adjust the time accrdingly.

4 Main Draw Prperties: this screen can be used fr Fixed Interval scheduling r Garman System Scheduling. The system defaults t 1 Hur 30 Minute match time (average) using the Garman System f scheduling. T use Fixed Interval scheduling, simply change the selectin t Fixed Interval. II. Split Event: this allws yu t split an event int multiple events (i.e. 2 draws f 8 players) Frm the Events screen, click n the event and then click Split Event

5 III. Yu can indicate the Event Naming Cnventin as either Letters r Clrs. The ptin that is checked, Split Players Acrss Events, is the default. With this checked, the system will nt nly create separate events the same as the initial event, but will split the players acrss each f these events, as evenly as pssible. If yu manually want t mve the players, yu wuld simply uncheck this bx and then yu will have the ptin t drag and drp them t the crrect event. Lck Players: If yu mve players frm ne divisin t anther then lck the players IV. Add A Player: This allws yu t add a player manually (i.e. a player that did nt register nline) V. Fix/Flat Alternate/Withdrawn When Fix Alt/Withdrawn is displayed, the players are actually flating, which means yu can manually drag the players t the Players area, Alternate r Withdrawn area. T d this yu simply, click n the Grip Icn t the left f the players name (the dts) and drag them t Players, Alternates r Withdrawn clumn. When yu see a yellw bx appear, yu can unclick and the player will appear in that clumn

6 When Flat Alt/Withdrawn is displayed, the players are fixed in their clumn and yu wn t be able t mve them unless yu click Flat Alt/Withdrawn

7 Grups: I. Generate Grups: This allws yu t separate grups by City, State, Zip Cde etc. t separate players in the draw frm playing each ther in the first rund. II. Create Grup: This allws yu t create yur wn grup in rder t separate players (this is usually dne if there is an entire academy wh entered the turnament). Draws: I. Make/Unmake Optins: Select the divisin frm the drp dwn menu that yu wish t make a draw fr Click Make Draw Press OK Shuld see a message saying Draw has been successfully made Click OK Yur draw fr that divisin will nw be displayed

8 II. Schedule Multiple Matches: This is ne f the way f many ways t schedule matches n TDM Multi Match Prperties: Allws yu t schedule multiple matches at a cmmn time. Select the Rund Select the matches yu wish t schedule at the same time Select the site frm the drp-dwn menu Select the Day f the turnament the matches will be played n Select the Time that the match will ccur (yu can manually enter if the match time is nt shwn in the drp-dwn menu)

9 Scre Entry: This allws yu t enter the scre fr multiple matches. Use the Drp Dwn Menus fr different Divisins and Draws Select the Winner, Enter the scre Press Save Click Draw in the upper right hand crner t return t the draw Display Optins: This will give yu print ptins as well as the ptin t make yur draw visible n the web When yu are ready t pst yur draws, check the bx fr Visible n Web fr the desired events

10 Draw Prperties: Allws yu t select what yu wuld like t be psted n the draw (match times, site, match date, etc.) and the fnts desired Print Optins: This tab allws yu t Print Draws Yu can print all draws, r select which draws r matches/runds yu wuld like t print Press Cntinue A pp-up windw will shw up with the draw in pdf frmat (please make sure yur brwser allws pp-ups fr TennisLink) Once in a PDF yu can either save r print the draw

11 Alternative Way t Enter Scres/Schedule When viewing the draw, yu can simply click yur muse in between a match (yur pinter icn will change frm an arrw t a hand pinting) A Match Prperties windw will appear Here yu can enter a scre under Match Results Yu can als schedule a match under Match Schedule making sure t enter the crrect site, day f turnament, and match time. Press OK when finished Nte: On the draw, the area where yu last left ff updating will appear in yellw

12 Site/Curts: This tab allws yu t indicate which sites yu will be using fr yur turnament, hw many curts yu have at that site and what time yu are able t use the curts. I. Search Sites: This tab allws yu t search fr a site t add t yur drp dwn menu fr sites that yu are using by entering Site Name and zip cde II. Create Site: This allws yu t put in infrmatin manually in rder t add a site t yur list. Check-In List: This tab is mainly used t help indicate whether a player has checked-in fr the turnament and received their t-shirt. Yu can drag and drp players t their apprpriate clumns by clicking n the dts t the left f their name and dragging them t the desired lcatin. Turnament Desk: This tab allws yu t see what matches are in prgress, hw lng matches have been n the curt, wh s checked in, and which curt players are n. This tab als allws a player t easily see when they play. Duble Click n a Match t enter in their curt number & ball number

13 Once a match is put n curt, they will then shw up in the Matches in Prgress Area f the Turnament Desk tab T check-in a player, simply click n the match and check the bx f the player wh has checked in. They will autmatically be mved t the tp f the list f the Matches area giving them first pririty f curts that finish Frm The Turnament Desk Tab, yu can als access the Scre Entry buttn in the upper right crner. T d s, click n the match that yu wish t enter scres fr and press Scre Entry. A match prperties bx will cme up where yu will enter the winner and scres. Publish Optins: This ptin is fund under the Turnament Desk Tab and allws yu t chse which lists appear n yur turnament hme page Select the Lists that yu wish t hide frm yur turnament hme page, r unselect them if yu wish fr them t appear n yur hme page. G T Sanctin Frm: This takes yu t yur nline sanctin frm and is useful t add turnament messages t yur turnament hme page

14 Click n the General Inf Tab n yur sanctin frm and scrll dwn t Turnament Messages Yu can select which messages appear first n yur hmepage by mving yur created message using the Mve Up and Mve Dwn buttns Click n +Create New Turnament Message t add a new message t yur turnament hme page A New Turnament Message pp-up windw will appear Create a Headline fr yur Message, a Message Bdy, and a Link if desired (at the end f the message bdy, the wrds mre inf will take a persn t a hyper link, the ne yu entered int the link area )

15 T make yur turnament messages public, select the messages that yu wuld like t shw up n yur turnament hme page Yu can als imprt message that yu use t ther turnaments that yu are hsting by clicking n +Imprt Message t Anther Turnament and entering the Turnament ID# Player Explrer: This is where all a player s infrmatin is stred. I. Master Inf: This tab displays infrmatin fr a player frm the Natinal database. a. This infrmatin is read-nly and yu are nt able t change the infrmatin entered II. This Turnament: This tab is where yu can verride infrmatin that is entered fr a player a. This tab is unique fr yur turnament b. If yu press Sync with Natinal the infrmatin that yu have changed/entered will be replaced with the infrmatin in the Natinal Database and will nt be saved.
