1 DANCESPORT NEW ZEALAND is pleased to present the 2016 DANCESPORT NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIPS 1 October 2016 Catholic Cathedral College Hall, 62 Ferry Road, Christchurch Doors open 11.00am, first event 12.00pm. INFORMATION Championship information will be available on our website Results following of the Championship will also be available on our website within 7 days. DanceSport New Zealand reserves the right to cancel any event with insufficient entries. Competitors entered in that event will be notified Championship is run under Dancesport New Zealand rules Heel caps must be worn for all stiletto shoes. All dancers must take the floor from the marshalling area. Competitive (Graded) events Competitive (Graded) couples must hold a DanceSport New Zealand Licence. Please contact sports@dancesport.org.nz for information. Competitors may dance their own official level and the one above Masters I couples may dance Masters I and Adult events but must be prepared to dance continuously if required. Masters II couples may dance both Masters I & II plus Adult events but must be prepared to dance continuously if required. All Competitive (Graded) events will be for DanceSport New Zealand titles Other events A DanceSport New Zealand licence is not required for the following events. Recreational events are open to only those dancers who have not competed in graded events. Only street attire is acceptable. Open One Dance events are open to ALL competitive and recreational couples. Street attire is acceptable. For Best Girl/Lady events, the number is to be worn on the right hip by the girl/lady Novelty (Professional-Athlete) events are for any professional coach with a nonprofessional dancer in the specified age group.
