This cmpetitin is sanctined by U.S. FIGURE SKATING, Sanctin # Lcatin: Date: Capital Clubhuse, 3033 Waldrf Marketplace, Waldrf, MD th Saturday, May 20, 2017 ELIGIBILITY/TEST LEVEL: Cmpetitin Eligibility: This cmpetitin is pen t any eligible, restricted, reinstated r readmitted persns as defined by the Eligibility Rules, wh is a currently registered member f a U.S. FIGURE SKATING member club, a cllegiate club r an individual member in accrdance with the current rulebk. Please refer t the current rulebk fr nn-u.s. Citizens. Test level: Cmpetitin level is the highest test passed as f the deadline in the discipline the skater is entering. Entrants may skate ne level abve that fr which they qualify, but they may nt skate dwn in any event. Skaters wh placed in the tp fur in a final rund f their last qualifying cmpetitin in their divisins must mve up ne level. Age restrictins/requirements: Skaters entering juvenile free skate events (Well Balanced Prgram) must be under 14 years f age at the clse f entries. Skaters entering pen juvenile free skate events (Well Balanced Prgram) must be at least 14 years f age at the clse f entries. ENTRIES: Register Online: All registratins will be dne nline via EntryEeze. Mail in registratins will NOT be accepted. Entry Fee: First event is $85, additinal events are $30 each. Once the registratin has been cmpleted, skaters will nt be allwed t enter additinal events, unless the athlete cmpletes an additin registratin and pays an additinal first event fee. Entry Deadline: 11:59pm ET, Sunday, April 30, 2017 Please Nte: Juvenile and Open Juvenile may be cmbined, and genders may be cmbined in Test Track events, in case f single entries. Fr ther levels, single entries may be ffered the ptin f skating an exhibitin withut scres, f transferring t anther cntested event fr which they are eligible, r receiving a refund. The rganizing cmmittee reserves the right t limit entries r t cancel an event based n time restrictins. REFUND POLICY: Entry fees will nt be refunded after deadline unless n cmpetitin exists r the event is canceled. There will be n refunds fr medical withdrawals. The nline prcessing fees are nt refundable. Checks returned fr nn-sufficient funds and cntested credit card charges will be issued a $25 fee. Payment f the fee will be befre the skater is allwed t participate in practice ice r events. Ntificatin f cmpetitin and practice ice times will be available by r psted nline. FACILITIES: The cmpetitin will be held at Capital Clubhuse, 3033 Waldrf Marketplace, Waldrf, Maryland 20603, Lcker rms will be available.

2 MUSIC: Skaters must furnish their wn music. Only CDs are acceptable. CDs shuld be clearly marked with the name f the skater, event name, level and length f music. Only ne track per CD. The fficial cmpetitin music must be turned in at the registratin table at the time f check-in. A duplicate CD shuld be readily available. Music may be picked up at the registratin table fllwing each event. Every reasnable care will be taken, but FSCSM cannt be respnsible fr CDs left at the end f the cmpetitin. LIABILITY: U.S. FIGURE SKATING, FSCSM, and Capital Clubhuse accept n respnsibility fr injury r damage sustained by any participant in this cmpetitin. This is in accrdance with Rule 1600 f the fficial U.S. Figure Skating Rulebk. JUDGING SYSTEM: The 6.0 Majrity Judging System will be used fr all levels. REGISTRATION: Registratin will be pen ne hur befre the first event and run thrugh the last event f the day. The registratin table will be lcated in the frnt lbby f the Capital Clubhuse. Please register prmptly upn arrival. PRACTICE ICE: Practice ice may be available based upn the number f entries. Infrmatin will be made available after the Entry Deadline. AWARDS: Medals will be awarded t skaters placing first, secnd, r third in each event. OFFICIAL NOTICES: An fficial bulletin bard will be maintained in the lbby. It is the respnsibility f each cmpetitr, parent and cach t check the bulletin bard frequently fr any schedule changes and/r additinal infrmatin. Skaters are requested t arrive 45 minutes prir t the scheduled time f their event. A tentative schedule f events will be psted n the FSCSM website at n r befre May 14, INFORMATION REGARDING COACHES: U.S. Figure Skating Rule MR 5.11 Cach Registratin In rder t be granted access t wrk within U.S. FIGURE SKATING sanctined activities, each cach must cmplete the fllwing requirements n an annual basis by July 1: A. Must be a current full member f U.S. FIGURE SKATING - either thrugh a member club r as an individual member; B. Must cmplete the cach registratin prcess thrugh the U.S. FIGURE SKATING Members Only site, submit prper payment fr the annual registratin fee f $30 and, if 18 years f age r lder, successfully pass the backgrund screen. C. Must cmplete the apprpriate CER curses (A, B, C r D) depending n the highest level f students being cached as f July 1. See rule MR D. Must submit prf f current general liability insurance with limits f $1 millin per ccurrence/$5 millin aggregate. Fr Learn t Skate USA ONLY caches - Any persn, 18 and lder, instructing a Learn t Skate USA Prgram must have successfully passed the annual backgrund screen and be registered as a Learn t Skate USA instructr. The lcal rganizing cmmittee/club will have a list f cmpliant caches wh are cleared fr a credential at the cmpetitin. Caches will need t check in at the event registratin desk and shw a gvernment issued pht I.D. t receive a credential. If a cach cannt prvide a pht I.D. and is nt n the list r cannt prduce the necessary dcuments, he r she will nt be allwed a credential n exceptins. We strngly urge all caches t have their cards with them. Nn-credentialed caches will nt be permitted in the designated caching area at rink side during events including practice sessins. Caching at U.S. Figure Skating events withut prper registratin is an ethics vilatin, which is reprted t U.S. FIGURE SKATING and PSA. 6 EVENT: Test Track Free Skate Pre-Juvenile thrugh Nvice levels General event parameters: 1. Skaters may nt enter bth a Well-Balanced Free Skate r Intrductry Level event and a Test Track Free Skate event at the same nnqualifying cmpetitin. 2. Skaters will skate t the music f their chice. Vcal music is permitted at all levels. 3. Level will be determined by the highest Free Skate test passed. Skaters may cmpete at the highest level they have passed, r skate up t ne level higher. 4. Minimum number f spin revlutins are in ( ) fllwing the spin descriptin. Revlutins must be in psitin. 5. The fllwing deductins will be taken: frm each mark fr each technical element included that is nt permitted in the event descriptin frm the technical mark fr each extra element included frm the technical mark fr any spin that is less than the minimum revlutins.
