QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENTRY AGE PREREQUISITES: Fr cmpetitrs entering the requirements fr age are as f July 1 st preceding the event. Skaters may skate-up ne level abve their test qualificatins in STARSkate singles events nly and fr testing purpses in cmpetitive invitatinal cmpetitins!1

3 LIABILITY St. Margaret s Bay Skating Club and the rganizers f this cmpetitin undertake n respnsibility fr damages r injuries suffered by the skaters. As a cnditin f and in cnsideratin f their entries therein, all cmpetitrs and their parents r guardians shall be deemed t agree t assume all risks r injury t the cmpetitr s persn and prperty resulting frm, caused by, r cnnected with the cnduct and management f the cmpetitin and t release any and all claims which they may have against the fficials, the Assciatin and the rganizers hlding the cmpetitin and against their fficers, and, their entries shall nly be accepted n this cnditin. Shuld this cmpetitin be cancelled fr any reasn, an administratin fee will be charged ($15.00) and deducted frm the returning entry fees. Awards Medals will be awarded t first, secnd and third place winners, fr all categries accunted using CPC/CSS, STAR 1 t 4, Pre Intr & Intrductry Interpretive and STAR 2/3 & 4 Element and Team Element events will be assessed t standard and receive ribbns and a certificate f achievement. SCHEDULE OF EVENTS A tentative Schedule f Events will be sent t each cmpetitr as the frmal receipt and acknwledgment f entry. Caches will be sent a schedule if their is supplied n the applicatin frm. Time f registratin will be included with the cnfirmatin ntice. CONDUCT OF COMPETITORS (Rule 7301(5)) Cmpetitrs are bund t bey implicitly the instructins f the fficials in charge f the cmpetitin. A cmpetitr, wh directly r indirectly expresses her/himself in an imprper manner regarding the fficials r their decisins, r regarding the marking f the judges, may be suspended and/r excluded frm further cmpetitin. MUSIC All music used must be in the public dmain r cvered by the Perfrming Rights Sciety. Cmpetitrs wh have music cmpsed especially fr their prgrams, either in whle r in part, shall be respnsible fr btaining a written release frm the cmpser fr the use f such music n radi and televisin, r apprpriate clearance frm the Perfrming Rights Sciety.!4

5 Music Requirements at Cmpetitins CD s will be the ONLY frmat used at NS cmpetitins fr the skating seasn; cassette tapes will nt be accepted. GENERAL MUSIC Each cmpact disc shall be a standard CD-R cmpact disc and enclsed in a single transparent plastic CD case. (DO NOT use CD-RW) Music n CD must be in wav frmat. (NOT mp3, itunes r DVD frmat) Skaters shuld keep a CD in a safe place fr use at COMPETITIONS ONLY. Each skater r team shall register 2 cpies f each prgram, ne marked MASTER and the ther marked BACK UP. (Recmmendatin: Each skater r team t carry anther cpy f his r her music at rink side.) LABELING: CD's and their cases must have the fllwing clearly printed: Skater s r Team s name categry name ttal music time (nt skating time) Hme Club Label shuld be n the CD case back insert ONLY. CD must be visible in frnt f case. Identify CD by writing n frnt using a permanent marker. D nt use ballpint pen. The music infrmatin as required n the Entry Frm must be cmpleted in detail (as applicable). RECORDING SPECIFICATIONS Only ne prgram (using ne track nly) shall be recrded n each CD. (2) Be Assciate member(s) in gd standing f the Assciatin (Rule 5401). (3) Eligibility - Test and Age Pre-requisites Cmpetitrs wishing t enter events during the skating seasn must meet the fllwing test and age prerequisites/deadlines: STARSKATE/ADULT STREAM/PRE-JUVENILE AND JUVENILE Test requirements Befre midnight f the clsing date f entries Age requirement Befre July 1st preceding the cmpetitin Any skater entered in an age-restricted categry fr which they are nt age-qualified shall be disqualified and nt permitted t change categries after the start f the cmpetitin. Entry fees shall nt be refunded. (4) Skaters may skate up in the free skate categries if desired. EVENT SPECIFICATIONS (1) EVENT COMPOSITION: In nrmal circumstances, each categry at the cmpetitin must be held fr men and wmen separately. The decisin t cmbine events is at the discretin f the technical representative and the hst cmmittee. Categries may be cmbined nly with full prir knwledge and agreement f all cmpetitrs affected. (2) GROUPING SKATERS BY AGE: Age grup guidelines are utlined in the Technical Prgram Requirements dcument. RESULTS CALCULATION STAR 1 4, Pre-Intr Interpretive, Intr Interpretive, STAR 2 4 Element and Team events will be assessed t standard. The CPC judging system will be used fr STAR 5 and higher free skating, cmpetitive, brnze and higher interpretive, and Adult events. Event Specificatin and Eligibility Requirements The fllwing sectins cntain ONLY the specificatin and eligibility requirements. Fr specific technical infrmatin, please refer t the Technical packages psted n the Skate Canada Inf Center. Events will be started n mre than 30 minutes early. Skaters shuld be at the rink 1 hur prir t the start f their event. PLANNED PROGRAM SHEETS MUST BE HANDED IN AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION. SKATER WILL NOT BE REGISTERED WITHOUT ONE.!7
