2 0 SCOTTISH NATIONAL OIREACHTAS Entry Procedures Go to the following website: Find the page named SCOT NAT 0 (left hand side) a a b Click on 0 SCOT NAT ENTRY PACK (EXCEL) and for postal entries click on 0 SCOT NAT ENTRY PACK (PDF). The ENTRY PACK will open. Click on File, save as, click Desktop and then click save. File will be saved on your desktop as "0 SCOT NAT ENTRY PACK". TYPE ALL OF YOUR ENTRIES INTO THE FILE (Upper Case please). If eligible for Preliminary please enter "P" or "PRELIM". For the Family Maximum please enter 0 OR 9 in the fee column for the first family member and then FF for the remainder of the family. All dates of Birth must be supplied for solo and team competitors. c If you are associated with another school please insert the school name(s) in the relevant box on the Summary sheet (this will ensure that dancers from associated schools will not perform on stage together). d e Once you have completed your entry pack please rename the file as the name of your dancing school. 3 PRELIMINARY CHAMPIONSHIPS Preliminary Championships are included in ALL Open Championships from Under 0 upwards provided that there are or more eligible dancers To be eligible to compete in a Preliminary Championship a dancer, (a) cannot have been placed in a top position in an Open Championship within the last months or (b) cannot have won more than Preliminary Championships within the last months irrespective of the number of competitors. A Preliminary Championship is a competition which has been judged by a panel of at least adjudicators and must have included light and heavy dance. A Preliminary Championship will be held in conjunction with the Open Championships and will be decided by the order of merit of the eligible dancers after the first two rounds. All dancers will be asked to confirm their eligibility to compete in a Preliminary Championship when collecting their competition number card. No change to the list of eligible Preliminary dancers will be permitted after the start of the relevant Open Championship. Teachers are asked to ensure that dancers are fully aware as to whether or not they are entitled to compete in a Preliminary Championship. The general and Dance related rules in the Syllabus for Oireachtas Rince Na Cruinne 0 will be strictly adhered to. The Scottish Regional Council have a ZERO tolerance policy on the consumption of alcohol in all dancing areas at Feiseanna.
