2 CBSE West Zone Skating Championship 2014 (16-18 October 2014) General Rules for the conduct of SKATING CHAMPIONSHIP 2014 (i) The confirmation regarding the participation of your team with the required details of the Skating Team and Escort must reach our School positively by 15 Oct (ii) Boarding and Lodging facilities will be provided from 15 Oct to 18 Oct (iii) (iv) (v) (vi) Reporting date is 15 Oct Opening Ceremony will be held at 7:00 pm on 16 Oct 2014 and closing Ceremony at 5:00 pm on 18 Oct School will provide transport facility to pick up/drop the teams from the Gotan Railway Station and Bus Stand at Gotan. Skaters shall be above 8 Years and under 10,12,14,16 & 19 Year of age as on 31 Dec 2014 with the details as follows: (a) Under 19 years: Born on or after (b) Under 08 years: Born on or after (c) Under 10 years: Born on or after (d) Under 12 years: Born on or after (e) Under 14 years: Born on or after (f) Under 16 years: Born on or after No team will be allowed to participate without an escorting Team Manager/ Coach/Physical Education Teacher duly authorized by the Principal of the participating school. (viii) From each school only one participant can participate in each event. (ix) (x) (xi) (xii) A skater can take part in maximum of two events in her/his age group. A skater can take part either in Quads or in-line events. The first & second position winners, both Girls and Boys separately will qualify to participate in the Nationals from each zone in each event in different age categories. The skater taking part in Quads should wear the skates that should not have heels attached to the shoe and should not be high ankle. (xiii) The skating costumes should be skin tight and helmet is compulsory. (xiv) (xv) The broader size wheels are only to be used for speed skating. The decision of the referee/ technical committee shall be final. (xvi) No photographs or video recording other than that of the official camera will be considered for any reference. (xvii) Protest, if any, has to be submitted in writing by the designated team Coach or Manager to the Chief Referee, within 15 minutes of the announcement of results. The decision of the Jury of Appeal shall be final. No protest will be entertained from the skaters. (xviii) The team players reporting on 15 Oct 2014 will only be allowed to participate in the championship. Please send your team (s) accordingly. (xix) (xx) The Host School will not be responsible for any mishappening during the Championship or during journey. All the skaters will bring their personal kit as skating items are not locally available.

3 MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS (i) Team Manager/Coaches shall provide the required documents for verification in original, if asked for by the controller. (ii) Team photo with school principal along with the entry Performa duly countersigned by the concerned principal shall be produced at the time of entry in the School Campus. (iii) For skaters studying in class IX and above shall provide CBSE Registration Number given in class IX and XI. (iv) Identity Cards to be brought by the students and coaches duly stamped and signed by the Principal. (v) Proof of the payment of CBSE Annual Sports fee for the year (vi) Girl participants should be escorted by Female Escorts (Manager). Boarding & Lodging Charges will be paid in advance which are refundable depending upon facilities used. Security Deposit of Rs 3000/- (Rs Three Thousand only) will also be made by each team at the time of entry which is refundable. All the team managers and skaters will be accommodated in the school Hostels planned separately for Boys and Girls. No costly items or jewelry etc are to be brought to the campus during championship as the school will not be responsible for the loss of any personal belongings.
