3 COMPETITIVE STREAM Test requirements Age requirement Before October 1 st preceding the competition Before July 1 st preceding the competition STARSKATE/ADULT STREAM Test requirements Before midnight December 4 th, 2015 Age requirement Before July 1 st preceding the competition **PROOF OF TEST Although proof of test should accompany each Winter Skate registration form, SCNB understands that the information might not be on hand as a result of technical difficulties. By signing the registration form, the competitor and coach attest that the skater does indeed meet the criteria to compete in a particular event. If it comes to the attention that the skater does not meet the criteria, the skater will be disqualified and thus not be able to compete at Winter Skate; registration fees will not be refunded. Competition Entry Fees COMPETITIVE STREAM: Following are the entry fees for all Competitive events. $90.00 per and Juvenile Singles events $ per Pre-Novice, Novice, Junior and Senior Singles combined events $80.00 per person per Dance or Pair event STARSKATE STREAM (STARSkate, Adult and Special Olympics): Following are the entry fees for all STARSkate stream events. $55.00 per entry Star 1 Free Skating $75.00 per entry Star 2 to 4 Free Skating $85.00 per entry Star 5 to Gold Free Skating (including Adults) $85.00 per entry Singles Interpretive (including Adults) $60.00 per person per Couples Interpretive $90.00 per entry Special Olympics 3

8 STARSKATE COUPLES INTERPRETIVE EVENTS Please note that the program title must be specified on the registration form (no more than 40 characters long). For program composition guidelines, please refer to the Skate Canada Interpretive Manual. 9 ADULT INTERPRETIVE EVENTS Please note that skaters must submit, prior to the competition, a brief statement of the chosen theme. It is to be no more than 40 characters in length. For program composition guidelines, please refer to the Skate Canada Interpretive Manual. There are no age requirements for Special Olympics competitors. Level I Women/Men Level II Women/Men Level III Women/Men Level IV Women/Men Level V Women/Men For technical information specific to each of the above events, please visit the Special Olympics Canada website. 9
10 SPECIAL OLYMPICS ICE DANCE EVENTS There are no age requirements for Special Olympics competitors. Each solo or team will be required to perform both dances listed for the level at all competitions. Introductory Level 1 Level 2 Level 3 Level 4 Refunds, Exhibitions and Skating Up Refunds after closing date will be granted only upon receipt of a medical certificate and the host committee shall be notified of the medical withdrawal prior to the start of the competitor s event. An administration fee of $25.00 will be charged for such withdrawals after closing date. If only one skater is entered in an event, that skater has the option to compete in the next highest event (whenever possible), skate an exhibition or withdraw from the competition. The LOC will contact the skater and the skater will have 48 hrs to convey their decision back to the LOC and this decision shall be final. If there are fewer than three participants in an Interpretive event with age divisions, then this Interpretive event will be combined with the same level of Interpretive event with a different age division. Skaters wishing to skate an exhibition will be charged the regular skating fee. This fee will include feedback from the judging panel via the ISU (CPC) report card. No medals are awarded for exhibition skates. Schedule The schedule of events will be made available on the Skate Canada New Brunswick website as soon as possible after the closing date of entries. Electronic mail will also be the primary method of communication with Skaters and Coaches. Note that the Technical Representative and the LOC reserve the right to cancel events. Any such decision will be communicated accordingly to the membership via and/or the Skate Canada NB website. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE Any rules or communications published by Skate Canada or the ISU may have an impact on the announcement. 10
