2 14th National Ice Skating Championships in Speed Skating are being organized by Ice Skating Association of India on 2 nd & 3 rd January 2018 at Delhi NCR. The participants can represent any one of the following teams which are the Affiliated /Recognised members of Ice Skating Association of India:- Affiliated & Recognised Units 15. Only those State Members and Clubs will be allowed to field their team in National Championships who have paid their Annual Affiliation Fees up-to-date. 2. If any athlete wants to participate from a state in which there is no Association/Club affiliated/ recognised with Ice Skating Association of India, he /she should apply to I.S.A.I before with a proof of address and age otherwise participation will not be allowed. Based on the results of National Ice Skating Championships, the athletes will be sent abroad to represent India to participate in International Ice Skating Championships organized by International Skating Union ( ISU) Switzerland and Asian Skating Union (ASU). Venue : iskate, Ambiance Mall, Gurugram Date : 2nd & 3rd January Entry Fee : Rs. 500 per athlete (if deposited before 30 Nov 2017) Rs ( If deposited between 1 to 25 Dec 2017) Rs ( If deposited between 26 to 31 Dec 2017) ( No Entry after 31 Dec 2017 will be accepted). Helmets and racing suits are compulsory for S.T. Speed Skaters Fees once deposited, will not be refunded on any account. 2

3 EVENTS/AGE GROUP SHORT TRACK SPEED SKATING Age as on Novice Age Below 10 years Born after 01 July 2008 Junior D Age 10 to 13 years to Junior C Age 13 to 15 years to Junior B Age 15 to 17 years to Junior A Age 17 to 19 years to Senior Age 19 years and above Before 01 July All the events of Ice Skating may be covered live on the Sports Flashes mobile app. The Sports Flashes App is available on Google play store, Apple store and on S.T. Speed Skating Races. Novice : 300 m, 500 m Junior D, C : 500 m, 1000 m Junior B : 500 m, 1000 m Junior A, Senior : 500 m, 1000 m Relay : 500 m, 4 Each Speed Skater should provide details, in which races he/she wants to participate, on or before 8:00 am on 1 st Jan, National Championship SPEED Skating Shimla. Weather permitting, if ice rink is functional in first week of January 2018 at Shimla, then speed races for following categories will be held in Shimla instead of in NCR Delhi :- 1. Senior -- Above 19 years of age 2. Junior to 17 year age group This is to facilitate better competition for senior categories in a bigger ice rink. A bus will be arranged for transportation of above category athletes from Delhi NCR near Ambiance Mall Gurugram on 1 st January 2018 to Shimla and each person will have to pay only Rs 500 for transportation. Boarding and lodging in Shimla at own expense of participants. 3

Minimum five athletes should participate in an individual event. (Otherwise no cash prize in that event). 3. In S. T. Speed Skating, Race of 500 m will be considered for cash prize. 4. At least 4 teams should participate in a Relay race. 4

5 14th NATIONAL ICE SKATING CHAMPIONSHIPS GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS 1. Events: There will be separate events for boys and girls in seniors, juniors, sub-juniors and novice categories. 2. Teams: Each team can field maximum of four participants per event. Each team should have its manager and coach. 3. Arrival & Dispersal of Teams: (i) (ii) The teams should reach in Ice Rink latest by 08 AM on 2 January The teams can disburse after conclusion of closing ceremony on 4 January 2018 after 6 P.M. Team captains meeting will be held at 4 PM on 1 January After 2 PM, no change of names will be accepted 4. Boarding & Lodging: At your own. 5. Equipment: (i) All competitors shall bring their own skating equipment and dress. (ii) Participation will be allowed with proper short track skates. No ice hockey skates will be allowed in Speed Skating. (iii) Helmets, cut suits and racing suits are compulsory to be worn for the short speed skating event. 6. Racing Suits: You can purchase from Rs per suit before 30 Nov Medals: First, Second and Third positions in each event will be given medals. If in any event, there are only three participation, only First and Second prizes will be given the medals. 8. Technical Committee: A Technical Committee will be constituted to ensure smooth conduct of the championships. 9. Jury of Appeal: A jury will be constituted to oversee the conduct of the championships. Disputes, if any, will be referred to the jury. The decision of the jury will be final and binding. The protest must be lodged by the concerned team captain /manager within15 minutes of the completion of the event along with a fee of Rs Disqualification: Any participant may be disqualified from the competition if found indulging, misbehaving or violating the instructions during the championship. 11. Participation Risk: Each competitor shall participate in the games at his/her own risk and will not claim any compensation against any injury sustained due to any accident during the practice and competition from Ice Skating Association of India or any other agency. 5
