A ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR ISU SYNCHRONIZED SKATING TECHNICAL CONTROLLERS AND TECHNICAL SPECIALISTS DIFFICULTY GROUPS OF FEATURES 1 DEFINITIONS: Change of Rotaton: Refers to TURNS or LINKING STEPS rotatng antclockwse and clockwse a) Change of Rotaton for Turns n Lnes / Blocks / No Hold Step Sequences Rotatng a mnmum of 180 from one turn to the next Example: The skaters would be facng, frst one sde of the ce rnk and then must release holds (f they are holdng) n order to face the other sde of the ce rnk. Ths wll equal one change of rotaton when rotatng a mnmum of 180 One change of rotaton wll be counted n the case of rotatng 360 or more n a clockwse then ant-clockwse drecton. The skaters may start and end facng the same sde of the ce rnk. b) Change of Rotaton for Turns n Crcles Rotatng a mnmum of 180 from one turn to the next Example: Skaters may frst be facng nto the crcle and then release holds n order to be facng outwards equals one change of rotaton when rotatng a mnmum of 180 or vsa versa One change of rotaton wll be counted n the case of rotatng 360 or more n a clockwse then ant-clockwse drecton. The skaters may start and end facng the same part of the crcle. Change of Skatng Drecton: Refers to skatng ether forwards or backwards (such as forward sprals and backward sprals) Change of Rotatonal Drecton: Refers to a wheel or crcle changng from clockwse to ant-clockwse 1 STEP SEQUENCES A step sequence may consst of steps and turns, equally balanced wth the prorty of turns; A step sequence may also consst of turns ONLY. Balance: A balance of lnkng steps and turns prescrbed for each level s defned as: The lnkng steps (Progressves, chasses, cross rolls, changes of edges, toe steps (movng), small hops) and the prescrbed turns for each Level (three turns, mohawks, choctaws, brackets, double threes, sngle twzzles, counters, rockers, double twzzles) should be dstrbuted evenly throughout the sequence and they must be skated wth dstnct edges. The balance s not fulflled f t s clearly recognzable that the turns (mentoned above) are n the mnorty and the steps (mentoned above) are n the majorty whle the step sequence s beng done. The call wll be the step level plus a DED 1 f there s no balance. 1

Only one crossover s allowed durng the step sequence; Two crossovers n a row wll end a step sequence. Crossovers: shall be called as one lnkng step; Level one A crossover followed by a quck hop cross shall be called as two lnkng steps each from Level one and wll end a step sequence; A quck hop cross followed by a crossover shall be called as two lnkng steps, each from Level one and wll end a step sequence. Two foot turnng (mpossble for the TS to decpher what the turn s) wll be called as level one Lnkng Steps Level one wll be called for each lnkng step. a) Examples of Lnkng Steps Chasse: shall be counted as one step Toe pck turns: (2-3 quck toe turns): shall be counted as one lnkng step Forward toe steps: (3-4 quck lke steps) shall be counted as one lnkng step Forward toe step: (a runnng forward type of step) shall be counted as one lnkng step Cross Roll (forwards/backwards, outsde or nsde): Each step of a cross roll shall be counted as one step Small hops (bunny hops, mazurka, sde skps, one foot hops): shall be counted as one step A Change of edge shall be counted as one step In the case where a change of edge that lnks/occurs between two turns, wth no change of foot or push, wll not be counted as a lnkng step. Rotaton of Turns The drecton of turn rotaton shall be decded by the drecton of body rotaton durng the entry of the turn. Feature: Change of Rotaton 1 turn clockwse + 1 turn ant clockwse = 1 change of rotaton (vsa versa) 1 turn clockwse + 1 turn ant clockwse + 1 turn clockwse = 2 changes of rotaton 1 turn ant-clockwse + 1 turn clockwse + 1 turn antclockwse = 2 changes of rotaton Two (2) turns from a level must be presented wth the change of rotaton: Example: RFO three turn + LFO mohawk + lnkng steps and LFI twzzle = the change of rotaton feature for level 2 turns A Change of Rotatonal Drecton n a Crcle or Wheel does not gve turns a Change of Rotaton feature. Turns must change rotaton as the crcle or wheel rotates n ether the clockwse or ant-clockwse drecton 2

A change of rotaton s not represented when skatng forwards then backwards Skaters must release holds n order to show a change of rotaton. Skaters need to rotate at least 180 for each change of rotaton a) Change of Rotaton for Lnes / Blocks / No Hold Step Sequences Rotatng a mnmum of 180 from one turn to the next Example: The skaters would be facng, frst one sde of the ce rnk and then must release holds (f they are holdng) n order to face the other sde of the ce rnk. Ths wll equal one change of rotaton when rotatng a mnmum of 180 One change of rotaton wll be counted n the case of rotatng 360 or more n a clockwse then ant-clockwse drecton and the skaters may start and end facng the same sde of the ce rnk. b) Change of Rotaton for Crcles Rotatng a mnmum of 180 from one turn to the next Example: Skaters may frst be facng nto the crcle and then release holds n order to be facng outwards equals one change of rotaton when rotatng a mnmum of 180 or vsa versa One change of rotaton wll be counted n the case of rotatng 360 or more n a clockwse then ant-clockwse drecton and the skaters may start and end facng the same part of the crcle. c) Change of Rotaton for Wheels No Addtonal Features (Change of Tempo and Change of Rotaton) for Step Sequences n wheels wll be counted. Only the levels for turns from group 2, 3, or 4, PLUS lnkng steps wll be called. Feature: Change of Tempo Credt wll be gven to teams who clearly demonstrated a change of tempo. A change of tempo wll nclude varatons on the length of edges before and followng turns Gudelne: Three (3) beat edges followed by one beat edges may be recognzed as a Change of tempo Changes of tempo may also be ndcated when the musc changes tempo and the team stays n tme to the ncreasng or decreasng tempo. No Addtonal Features (Change of Tempo and Change of Rotaton) for Step Sequences n wheels wll be counted. Only the levels for turns from group 2, 3, or 4, PLUS lnkng steps wll be called. a) SHORT PROGRAM: A requred step sequence n Short Program must meet the requrements for the Group 2, 3, 4 or 5 (type of turns and number of turns s determned for each Group). If the step sequence n the Short Program does not fulfll the requrements for a requred type of turns (4 turns attempted) for the respectve group (even f the requred number of turns s fulflled) then the Group s1 + DED 1 for not Accordng to requrements wll be called. 3

If the requred number of turns (4) (4 turns not attempted) s not fulflled, the step sequence wll be consdered as omtted and the Group s1 + DED 2 wll be called. a) FREE PROGRAM: If the step sequence n Free Skatng does not contan the requred number of four (4) turns (regardless of whether features are ncluded) the Group s1 wll be called. v STEP SEQUENCE: GENERAL COMMENTS The turn(s) / step(s) used when a crcle or wheel s changng rotatonal drecton wll be counted f they are a part of the step sequence. Turns that are not clear n the entry or ext edge and/or foot (unable to determne an entry and/or ext edge) shall be called as s1. Turns that begn and/or end on two feet wthout a clear entry and/or ext edge wll be called as s1 Turns that are skated on a flat shall be called as a s1 Double three turns : there s no tmng restrcton between the 2 turns. The free foot must not touch down between the two three turns. If the free foot touches down between the two three turns then the call wll be for a sngle three turn, level 2 A 1 ½ twzzle shall be called as a Level 3 turn A 2 ½ (or more) twzzle shall be called as a Level 4 turn A Twzzle wll be called as a three turn f there s knee acton A Double Twzzle wll be counted as two Double three turns f there s knee acton Choctaw turns (as per the DVD example) that are performed on straght lnes wll be called as mohawks. Choctaws performed durng crcular elements must also skate on edges and not on a straght lne, the turn wll be called as mohawks EXAMPLE OF A CORRECT CHOCTAW ON A CIRCULAR PATTERN RFI Edge LBO Edge 4

3 POINT OF INTERSECTION SHORT AND WELL BALANCED PROGRAM Three turn/mohawk that s done n combnaton and executed on one foot wll be called a p 2 Turns and moves must be done n close proxmty to the Pont of Intersecton n order to be called. Turns, steps and/or moves gong through a collapsng ntersecton (example: box ntersecton) wll be counted as long as some skaters are stll ntersectng. Turns, free skatng moves or elements done ether before or after the skaters ntersect durng a collapsng ntersecton wll not be counted A turn or move wll count as a Pont of Intersecton when the entrance edge, the turn or ext edge of a turn(s)or moves occurs at wthn close proxmty to the Pont of Intersecton and there are no other pushes or steps taken. A double three turn wll be counted as long as one or both turns occur wthn close proxmty to the Pont of Intersecton (just before the Pont of Intersecton, at the Pont of Intersecton or mmedately followng the Pont of Intersecton) The GOE wll reflect the poston where the turn takes place and s done by judges An ntersecton s counted as back to back durng the approach even when the skaters step forward n order to do a forward turn just pror to the Pont of Intersecton and takes no other pushes or steps before turnng. (e.g. spread eagles) An outsde spread eagle wll be evaluated n the same manner as a FO three turn at the Pont of Intersecton. The skaters must be holdng back to back as they approach the Pont of Intersecton before the spread eagle and durng the spread eagle n order to be called a p4. JUNIOR SHORT PROGRAM There s no deducton for a Junor team that ncludes a turn/move at the Pont of Intersecton on both of the ntersectons. The Techncal Specalst wll call the 1 st Intersecton and the Pont of Intersecton n the case that there s no ndcaton on the Teams Program Content Sheet as to whch Pont of Intersecton wll be counted. Example of bracket turn at / near the Pont of Intersecton Pont of Intersecton axs 5

B DIFFICULTY GROUPS OF ELEMENT 1 BLOCK SHORT PROGRAM Blocks that do not cover the requred ce surface wll be gven a DED 1 for Not Accordng to Requrements Blocks that have more that 5 lnes wll be gven a DED 3 for Incorrect Element Block that have less than 3 lnes wll be gven a DED 3 for Incorrect Element Omtted change of confguraton wll be gven a DED 1 Omtted requrements such as the change of hold and step sequences wll each receve a DED 2 FREE PROGRAM Blocks that do not cover the requred 2/3rds of the ce surface wll not be called 2 LINES DEFINITION a) Interactng and Pvotng Lnes: The two (2) lnes wll cover at least one half (½) of a crcle n close proxmty to each other and durng ths movement, one or the other lnes pvots. The pvotng may occur at the same tme as the nteractng however, pvotng then nteractng or nteractng then pvotng wll be allowed. The lnes must change postons. One of the lnes, whch start ether n back or behnd the other lne, must come to the front. JUNIOR SHORT PROGRAM In the junor short program f the transton n between the two requred lnes covers more than ½ of the ce then a DED1 wll be called. If a lne does not meet the mnmum requred ce coverage then a DED 1 wll be called for NAR If a lne pvots before completng the requred features then a DED 1 wll be called Lnes that pvot more than 90 wll receve a DED 1. A slght devaton wll be allowed If a lne frst pvots 90 wth the pvot pont at one end of the lne, followed by the same lne agan pvotng 90 wth the pvot pont at the other end of the lne wll be allowed. 6

ONE EXAMPLE of a lne frst pvotng 90 wth the pvot pont at one end of the lne, followed by the same lne pvotng another 90 wth the pvot pont at the other end of the lne Pvot Pont #2 Pvot Pont #1 FREE PROGRAM The Dffculty group level of the lne wll be decded once the shape has been determned and the mnmum ce coverage has been completed If the lne does not meet the mnmum requred ce coverage then no lne wll be called. A pvotng lne wll be called only f ALL skaters cover the requred ce coverage whle the pvotng s occurrng. (Ths requrement ncludes the pvotal skater) A second lne may be called n the Free Skatng Lne sequence. The level of the second lne n a sequence wll be decded once the mnmum ce coverage has been completed of the frst lne (at least 1/3 for a sequence). When the 1 st lne of a sequence only covers 1/3 of the ce and f the second lne of the sequence does not cover 1/3 of the ce then no lne or sequence wll be called. The second lne n a sequence must be a dfferent shape than the frst lne. If the second lne has the same shape as the frst lne, the second lne wll not be called and no value wll be gven. A sequence s comprsed of ether; One lne to two lnes OR Two lnes to one lne Lnes that pvot more than 90 wll not be called however a slght devaton wll be allowed 3 CIRCLES The steps must cover 2/3 rds of the crcle. TS suggested to watch one skater as they perform the steps to ensure that the steps cover the requre ce A step sequence shall not begn to be counted untl unless the crcle s closed. 7

The crcle s consdered closed when the skaters are evenly spaced ether wth a hold or when usng a no hold. Example: A crcle that s not closed due to skater spacng JUNIOR SHORT PROGRAM A second crcle shape that doesn t rotate the requred 360º wll be counted as a transton and not an addtonal crcle If a second crcle rotates 360º then DED 3 wll be called for an addtonal element Omtted requrements such as travel, change of rotatonal drecton and change of hold wll each receve a DED 2 Elements wth requred Features, that are not allowed to be repeated, wll receve a DED 1 for Not Accordng to Requrements, f those Features are repeated. Features that may not be repeated n a Crcle nclude travel and a change of rotatonal drecton. FREE PROGRAM A crcle that does not rotate a mnmum of 360 wll not be called. 4 WHEELS JUNIOR SHORT PROGRAM A thrd wheel shape that doesn t rotate the requred 180º wll be counted as transtons and not an addtonal wheel. Omtted requred features such as travel and change of rotatonal drecton wll each receve a DED 2 Elements wth the requred Features, that are not allowed to be repeated, wll receve a DED 1 for Not Accordng to Requrements, f those Features wll be repeated. Features that may not be repeated n a Wheel nclude travel, change of rotatonal drecton A change of rotatonal drecton may happen even between formatons. A change of rotatonal drecton s appled to the wheel shape that s skated just pror to the change of rotatonal drecton. In ths case the wheel wth requred travel and change of rotatonal drecton must be skated frst. If the change of rotatonal drecton occurs after the wheel wth the requred step sequence feature, a DED 1 wll be appled for Not Accordng to Requrements 8

SENIOR SHORT PROGRAM For 2006 the three lne parallel wheel must travel and have a change of rotatonal drecton Elements wth requred Features, that are not allowed to be repeated, wll receve a DED 1 for Not Accordng to Requrements, f those Features are repeated. Features that may not be repeated n the three lne parallel wheel nclude travel, change of rotatonal drecton, change of holds Addtonal changes of holds wll not be gven a DED 1 n the case where a release s requred n order to perform some types of turn(s), and wll not be counted as a no hold. A change of hold must last for 3 seconds n order to be counted The 3 lne parallel wheel that does not mantan t s shape for at least 90 after the change of rotatonal drecton wll receve a DED 1 for Not Accordng to Requrements FREE PROGRAM A wheel wll not be called unless t rotates a mnmum of 180 (or 90 n each drecton f there s a change of rotatonal drecton) A change of rotatonal drecton may happen between formatons. 5 INTERSECTIONS INTERSECTION DESCRIPTIONS: a) These 4 phases wll determne the Level of Dffculty and clarfy the need for applcable deductons for an ntersecton. Phase 1 Preparaton Phase 2 Approach Phase 3 Pont of Intersecton Phase 4 Ext of Intersecton Phase 1: Preparaton The preparaton phase s defned as establshng the shape of the ntersecton. In order to receve the level as stated n the Dffculty of Elements for ntersectons, the team must perform the preparaton phase back to back (at least 4 beat of musc). 9

Phase 2: Approach The Approach to the Intersecton s defned as the moment that the team starts movng towards the pont of ntersecton. In order to receve the level stated n the Dffculty of Elements for Intersectons, the team must perform the approach phase back to back In the case where one lne s not back-to-back durng the preparaton and approach phase then one lower level wll be called. P Collapsng fgure ntersectons (box/ trangle ntersectons and other varatons) Lnes that are pvotng durng the preparaton and approach phase shall be consdered back to back. Skaters must be skatng backwards durng pvotng In the case where one lne s not pvotng but remans back to back durng the preparaton and approach phase, the ntersecton wll stll be consdered as stated n the Dffculty Groups of Elements. If one of the lnes s not back to back wth the other lnes durng a collapsng fgure ntersecton, then the ntersecton wll be called one level lower. (I2) One level lower wll be called for lne(s) that are pvotng and skatng forward durng the preparaton and approach phase. Phase 3: Pont of Intersecton The Pont of Intersecton phase s defned as the nstant when the skaters are passng each other. The level at the Pont of Intersecton wll be called based on the crtera lsted n the document Dffculty Levels of Features The steps or turns closest or at the pont of ntersecton wll be called As long as the preparaton and approach s backwards, skaters are allowed to step forwards n order to perform turns at the Pont of Intersecton In the case of a collapsng Intersecton (L, box, trangle and other varatons) the Pont of Intersectons begns when the frst skaters begn to ntersect and ends as the last skaters complete the ntersecton In the case of the collapsng ntersecton, where a team may nclude several steps, turns and/or moves consstng of varous levels, the most dffcult turn/move wll be counted P 10

Phase 4: Ext of Intersecton The Ext phase of the Intersecton s defned as the moment followng the Pont of Intersecton: The team must keep the shape of the ntersecton followng the Pont of Intersecton. There s no length of tme that the team must hold ths shape however t must be easly recognzed. A hold at the Ext of Intersecton s not requred. P EXAMPLES OF CORRECT SHAPES FOLLOWING THE POINT OF INTERSECTION: TWO LINES PARALLEL Two lnes parallel from the same drecton must stll have two lnes parallel followng the pont of ntersecton P TRIANGLE, BOX, L AND OTHER VARIATIONS Trangle, Box, L and other varatons must keep that shape of the ntersecton followng the pont of ntersecton. P 11

TWO LINE INTERSECTION FROM OPPOSITE DIRECTIONS: SHORT AND FREE PROGRAM The correct shape wll be two lnes followng the pont of ntersecton of a two-lne ntersecton from opposte drectons. The lnes must be back to back durng the Preparaton and Approach phase. The team must mantan an angled drecton durng the Approach, at the Pont of Intersecton and at the Ext of the ntersecton. P CORRECT EXAMPLE If the team does not keep the angle durng the approach phase of ths ntersecton an I2 wll be called. P INCORRECT APPROACH If the angle s mantaned durng the approach and the team does not keep the angle durng the ext phase of ths ntersecton the call wll be I3 + DED 1 for Not Accordng to Requrements P INCORRECT EXIT If the angle s not mataned durng the approach and ext, the call wll be I2 + DED1 for Not Accordng to Requrements WHIP INTERSECTION The accepted shape on the ext of a whp ntersecton s a V. 12

COLLAPSING FIGURE INTERSECTIONS (BOX/ TRIANGLE INTERSECTIONS) Lnes that are pvotng durng the preparaton and approach phase shall be consdered back to back. Skaters must be skatng backwards durng pvotng. EXAMPLE: DIAGRAM OF A 3 LINE INTERSECTION WITH ALL THREE LINES MOVING All skaters are approachng ther pont of ntersecton back to back. (Skater s n the "wheel" are skatng backwards) If one of the lnes s face to face durng the preparaton or the approach then an I2 wll be called There must be three recognzable lnes at the ext of the ntersecton 6 NO HOLD STEP SEQUENCE SHORT PROGRAM The block must start and end as close to the short end barrers as possble otherwse a DED 1 wll be called for each requrement not met The steps must cover 2/3rds of the ce otherwse a DED 1 wll be called The lnes must be as equal as possble and wll receve a DED 1 f not A change of axs durng the No Hold Step Sequence Element wll receve n a DED 1 Omtted step sequence wll be called as a s1 + DED 2 13

FREE PROGRAM A block that does not go from one end to the other end wll NOT be called If the steps do not cover 2/3 rds of the ce the No Hold Step Sequence wll not be called 7 MOVES IN THE FIELD All moves must be called and the computer wll select the 3 most dffcult moves to be counted. A fnal check wll be made by the Techncal Controller and the Techncal Specalst All Moves performed on a straght lne (wth undetermnable edges) shall be called as fm1. If a team performs a par lke free skate move wth only one partner of the par performng a move and the other partner s ether gldng or skatng then the call s fm1 + DED1 The 3 seconds for the free skate move shall begn once the skater s n the move postons Sprals: The free leg must be at the hp level or above (not on the way up) Bellmann Spral: Once the skaters are holdng the free foot above and behnd the head wth one or both hands Spread Eagle or Ina Bauer: once both skates are on the correct edges The countng wll end upon the ext of the free skate move poston: Sprals: Once the free leg s lower than the hp Bellmann Spral: Once the free leg s released from the hold Spread Eagle or Ina Bauer: When ether foot changes poston Repeated moves are not called. Example: When ½ of the team s performng one move and the other ½ s performng a dfferent move and one of ether of the moves has been or wll be repeated, even f the skaters are n pars or n a dfferent formaton. SHORT PROGRAM Pattern Requrements n Short Program The pattern begns on the frst free skate move, even f the move does not meet the requrements (such as beng held for 3 seconds) Retrogresson for serpentne Pattern n MIF The serpentne pattern must begn at one short barrer and end at the opposte short barrer. The lead skater may pass the long axs before startng the frst free skatng move, but not the entre team. The lead skater must cross the long axs twce to meet the pattern requrements. Teams can slghtly overlap ther tracngs. The lead skater begns the frst free skate move at the arrow. 14

FREE PROGRAM Pattern Requrements n Free Program Pattern s optonal Moves are called the same as n the short program 8 SPIN SHORT PROGRAM All skaters must executed the same spn but not necessarly n the same drecton FREE PROGRAM All skaters must execute the same spn but not necessarly n the same drecton If the spns are dfferent then the lowest level wll be called plus a DED 1 for not Accordng to Requrements A spn that revolves only two (2) tmes n the frst poston/ foot and only two (2) tmes n a second poston/foot wll be counted as a fe1 no matter what poston or change s occurrng 9 MOVEMENTS IN ISOLATION When two or more free skatng moves / elements are beng performed at the same tme, only the most dffcult wll be called Only ONE free skatng move/element wll be called n ths case If one of these multple free skatng moves / elements s a spn, then t s suggested that the TS watch the spn to count the revolutons and the TC and Assstant TS observe the other free skatng moves / elements. TC or Assstant TS wll call revew f the other free skatng moves / elements are of a hgher value than the spn. One free skatng move/element must be completed before a second free skatng move/element can be called. If the free skatng moves / elements takes up more than ½ of the ce surface, whle beng performed a DED 1 wll be appled to the MI element The preparaton of the free skatng move / element may take up more than ½ of the ce surface 15

The 3 9 ndvdual skaters may not be attached whle performng ther free skatng elements and/ or free skatng moves If there are less than three pars or more than 4 pars then a free skatng move / element wll not be called. FREE SKATING ELEMENTS Rotatonal Group Lft s defned as a lft n whch the lftng skaters rotates ether n a clockwse or ant-clockwse drecton whle travellng across the ce. Each of the lftng skaters must rotate at least 180. Free skatng elements that do not meet the requrements are not called Example: An uprght spn, that revolves 3 tmes, wth a change of foot or poston that revolves only two tmes wll be called as a fe1 A camel spn, that revolves 3 tmes, wth a change of foot or poston that revolves only two tmes wll be called as a fe2. A spn wth a change of foot or poston that does not revolve three tmes n the frst poston wll be called the level of the second part of the spn, as long as the change of foot or poston revolves 3 tmes. A spn that revolves only two (2) tmes n the frst poston/ foot and only two (2) tmes n a second poston/foot wll be counted as a fe1 no matter what poston or change s occurrng Par Pvots: The supportng skater must have hs/her toe pck nto the ce and revolves at least 360 whle assstng the other skater (fe2) In the case that the supportng skater does not revolve at least 360 then the level wll be reduced to a fe1 Bellmann Spn s defned as pullng the free leg above and behnd head level ether held by ether one or both hands. If the Bellmann poston s not correct the call wll be for an uprght spn fe1 FREE SKATING MOVES Free skatng moves must be held for a mnmum of 3 seconds to be counted The 3 seconds wll begn when; Spral: when the free leg has reached the hp level, not on the way up to the hp level Bellmann Spral: Once the skaters are holdng the free foot above and behnd the head wth one or both hands Spread Eagle / Ina Bauer: when both skates are on the correct edges Bellmann Spral s defned as pullng the free leg above and behnd head level ether held by one hand or two hands. If the Bellmann poston s not correct the call wll be for a spral dependng on the edges used. Par move s defned as a move when two skaters are attached to each other, by hand hold or holdng one or the other by one hand or both hands. 16

10 TRANSITIONS JUNIOR AND SENIOR SHORT PROGRAM In the short program transtons that cover more than ½ of the ce wll receve a DED 1. Ths requrement s elvaluated by the TS and ncludes transtons between two requred shapes and transtons between elements. The ENTIRE team must cover more than ½ of the ce before a DED s appled Transtons that nclude another element, that covers the amount of ce requred for that element and that are not a requrement of a short program shall receve a DED 3 for Addtonal Elements 17
