Venue: OBGA Level 1 The draw will determine skating rder. Fr 2-prgram events, the FS is skated in reverse rder. Where the event divisin has mre than 12 athletes, rder may be drawn within each warm up grup. Results displayed r annunced will remain prvisinal until the results are certified by the segment Referee and Technical Cntrller n the fficial result frm. 1

2 Aussie Skate divisins are as indicated in the Aussie Skate TM Cmpetitin Manual but will be judged using clsed IJS based n Skating Skills, Technical Elements and Presentatin. The cmpnent scale is frm (0.25 being lwest, 5.0 being highest) with a factr f 1.0. Deductins include 0.25 fr falls and 0.25 fr elements frm a level higher. Ties will be decided n the Skating Skill cmpnent. Judges (Interstate events nly) Each State assciatin is invited t nminate a Judge r Judges, Technical Cntrller and/r Technical Specialist and Data Operatr/Vide Replay Operatr fr any scheduled events. These nminatins shuld be advised t the ISV Cnvenr f Officials befre the clsing date. mark.strtn@iceskatingvictria.rg.au Membership Requirements At clse f entries, all Australian cmpetitrs must be a full financial member f their relevant State Assciatin and an affiliated club. (Inclusive f ISA Insurance Registratin either directly r via their state assciatin). The membership must be valid during the full cmpetitin perid. All Aussie Skate entrants must als be registered with ISA Aussie Skate TM and currently enrlled in Aussie Skate Failure t cmply with membership requirements will result in withdrawal frm the event. Overseas entrants must be financial members f an ISU member skating rganisatin and/r its affiliates, as required by their natinal rganizatin; the membership must be valid during the full cmpetitin perid. Insurance/Liability All members f State Assciatins and ISA Aussie Skate TM are cvered under the ISA Natinal Insurance Plicy while participating in the event. This plicy includes Sprt Accident cver. ISA and MFSC assume n respnsibility fr ther persns in cnnectin with this event. ISA and MFSC recmmends that any persn travelling t an interstate event cnsider persnal travel insurance. Eligibility t Cmpete Skaters Preliminary and abve must have passed the relevant ISA test level at the clse f entries. Cmpetitrs in Aussie Skate divisins must cmpete at the highest test level passed by the cmpetitin clsing date and cannt enter a level lwer than that which they have previusly cmpeted. Skaters wh have passed the ISA Preliminary Test at clse f entries are nt permitted t cmpete at Aussie Skate level. ISA Cmmunicatin 101 will be bserved. 2

3 Practice Sessins IJS divisins Preliminary t Senir will have fficial practice sessins n the mrning f their event. Practice sessins start at 5:45am. Practice schedules will be published with the event schedule. There are n fficial practice sessins fr Aussie Skate, Artistic, r Theatre On Ice events. Unfficial practice sessins n the cmpetitin rink will be available n Thursday 9 th August. These will need t be bked and paid fr in advance, at time f Event Registratin. Sessins run frm 12pm-6pm and will be allcated based n skater level. Additinal freestyle practice sessins are available at O Brien Grup Arena during the week f the event visit fr sessin times and csts. Please be aware these sessins are likely t be very busy and O Brien Grup Arena will cap sessins at 30 skaters. Visiting caches are nt permitted t take the ice but may cach frm the barrier and may be charged an entry fee. Caches may nt cach mre than three skaters at ne time. COMPETITION ENTRY DETAILS Entry Prcess and Eligibility t Cmpete Online entry submitted directly t OC, MFSC by cmpetitrs The OC will prvide a list f cmpetitrs t the state assciatins within (2) tw days f clse f entries. State Assciatins will cnfirm t the OC as sn as pssible thereafter, the skaters eligibility t cmpete as well as membership status f club, state and natinal Aussie Skate TM prgram. PPC and Music submissin must be submitted with the entry. Cnditins fr Online Entry All Interstate cmpetitrs must ntify their relevant state assciatin f their entry submissin prir t entering. All state assciatins will be asked t cnfirm that entrants are full financial members in gd standing, f bth the state assciatin and an affiliated club. (see abve) Payment Prcess Entry Cnditins Payments fr this event are made thrugh ur nline registratin prcess. Refer t ur website: fr all infrmatin and links. Entries will nt be cnsidered cmplete unless accmpanied by: Full Payment paid n entry Music File electrnically submitted n entry. Awards/Trphies Event Trphies Trphies will be awarded t the first three place-getters f each divisin. All cmpetitrs will receive a participatin certificate. Crystal Challenge Perpetual Trphy The Crystal Challenge Perpetual Trphy is awarded t the skater(s) whse attitude, perfrmance and skating spirit stands ut frm the crwd, and embdies the spirit f this great sprt ~ resilience, curage, expressin and beauty f perfrmance. The winner f the Crystal Challenge Perpetual trphy may cme frm any divisin frm Aussie Skate t ISA IJS levels, technical r artistic. They may be a skater frm any club thrughut Australia. Over each f the three days f cmpetitin, ne skater/team will be selected. They will be presented with a Crystal plaque at the final award presentatin each day. Frm these three runners-up, the verall Perpetual Trphy winner will be selected. The perpetual trphy will be retained by the Melburne Figure Skating Club and will be engraved with the winner s name and displayed at O Brien Grup Arena. A representative trphy will be presented t the winner. 5

7 EVENT REGISTRATION and VENUE ENTRY The fficial Registratin desk will be lcated at the main entrance adjacent t the Henke rink. Cmpetitrs must register at least 1 hur prir t their scheduled event Entry t the Venue An Admissin Fee per spectatr is payable t O Brien Grup Arena at the frnt desk fr each day f cmpetitin. Skaters will receive ne Chaperne Pass fr each event entered. OFFICIAL EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY / VIDEOGRAPHY PHOTOGRAPHY An fficial phtgrapher will be taking phts at the event. Phts will be available fr viewing and purchase. Fr private phtgraphers, please nte that n flash phtgraphy is permitted as it may be dangerus t the skaters. VIDEOGRAPHY Vide Recrding: Individuals using vide cameras will be required t register at the Infrmatin / Registratin desk n the day f the event. Camera lights are prhibited. Videing can nly be undertaken in the designated area. All private phtgraphers are required t check in at the Registratins desk n the day f the event. Permissins may be requested at the time f entry. PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO OF PRACTICE SESSIONS AND OFFICIAL WARMUPS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED. NOTES Private phtgraphers/videgraphers are nt permitted t phtgraph r recrd children frm utside f their wn family unless they have written permissin frm that skater s parents.
