Heaher s poss encourage sichers o join in wih regular SALs, and she suggess helpful resources as well as posing abou her laes siching projecs. Tell us a bi abou yourself. I m a cross sicher, needleworker, knier, and voracious reader. I make i a poin o sich every single day. When did you fall in love wih cross sich? Like a lo of sichers, my grandma augh me when I was very lile. I didn really click for me unil I was 13 and found a samped cross sich ki in a sore. A he ime my grandma was ill, and I fel ha by aking up somehing ha she had augh me I would be closer o her. To his day, when I cross sich, kni or do any craf, I can feel her beside me. Wha s your bigges siching disaser or bigges challenge? I had siched abou a hird of Dragon Dreams Sana s Dragon before I realized I hadn cenred he design properly. There was nowhere near enough fabric a he op! I was so hearbroken ha I ossed he whole hing in he garbage. I will sich i again, hough! Do you have a paricular piece you re mos proud of? I am very proud of The Casle, designed by Teresa Wenzler. I was he firs ime I siched on Heaher loves o sich inricae fanasy designs linen, and he firs ime I used a whole pile of blending filamen. The finished piece is sunning. Wha s your advice for sichers wih los of WIPS? I have oo many! I have all of hem lised in order of how imporan i is for me o finish hem. Also, since I am rying o sich from my sash his year, I ve se ou a work baske of he mos imporan WIPS and I m rying o work sricly from ha baske. I haven been oally successful, bu i s helping. Why did you sar your blog? I celebrae my 10 year blogging anniversary his year! I sared i because I waned a place where I could share some of my wriing. I morphed ino Siching Lous, a journal abou my siching, because I really enjoyed looking a oher people s siching online and hough i would be fun o share my own. Wha sor of hings do you mos like o sich? I love fanasy designs. Teresa Wenzler s designs are my favourie bu I also adore Dragon Dreams and Enchaning Lair. Their syles are differen, bu I like hem all. I also enjoy doing specialiy siches a whole lo, so designs from Vicoria Sampler also show up a lo under my needle. Anyhing you d like o add? One of my favourie ancien siches, my firs view of i was whils visiing he Burrell Collecion in Glasgow find ou more abou his wonderful exhibiion a I saw a sampler from he early eigheenh cenury here and was enhralled! This lovely sich, also known as rococo sich, is made in four pars forming lile dimples in he embroidery by pulling small holes in he fabric. This sich looks fairly unexciing on is own bu is gorgeous when grouped. As i is a labour-inensive sich, i is bes used in small areas and isn suiable for aida.
