Oh, no! You ve jumped in the car ready to get the kids to school and yourself off to work only to find that the cold weather has wreaked havoc with your tire air pressure. You know that you can drive your car in this condition but only until you can get some air. Then you notice that the oil is 500 miles over. What do you do?! We had a guest speaker, Michael McCauley, come to our September gathering and tell us about riding for the Patriot Guard Riders. If you ever get a chance to attend one of the missions where the Patriot Guard Riders are asked attend, I promise you will be humbled. We had 10 members from Chapter M pledge to attend a mission. Assistant Director, Sherry Graham, took time out of her more than busy schedule to stop by. She let us know about all the fun we could expect from the Oklahoma District Rally being held latter in September. We even got to celebrate a couple birthdays, John Cosby and Betty Warner, and an anniversary, Joe and Barbara Pusch. Congrats on another year celebrated! The week after the gathering Ed Mason and I decided to take a ride on the wild side. We gased up the Goldwings and headed out to Fayetteville, Arkansas to attend the Bar- B-Q, Bikes and Blues event. We had a really good time. The very next week it was getting ready for the Oklahoma District Rally. We had a work day where many of the members came together to finish the prep work on the banquet tables and the Chapter M Theme Table. The work day really paid off. I m not bragging mind you just saying how proud I am of our members. Chapter M won 1 st place on the Theme Table, 1 st place on the Windshield Cover, 2 nd place in Serious Talent, by Miss Kealsey Farguson, 2 nd place in Chapter Website, 2 nd place Hat and 3 rd place Banner. Not a bad showing if I say so myself. Ed Mason made a wooden tree for the chapter basket. I know, I know, a tree is not a basket, but if Chapter M just presented a basket welllllll we just wouldn t be Chapter M now would we. Okay, so the tree was decked out in red, white and blue ribbons with envelopes containing gifts of money and prizes. Kenny Graham won the October 2017 OK Chapter M P a g e 2

3 tree! I sure he was happy even though it wasn t a basket. Right, Kenny?! This event will be held on October 28 th at the Arrowhead Mall. I have included a flyer in this months newsletter. One of the host for this worthy event is our sponsor, Road, Track and Trail. So check it out and head on down on the 28 th and visit with all the little trick or treaters decked out in their finest. We have almost as much fun as the kids do. You are welcome to dress up or not just be sure to bring lots and lots of candy. Hope to see you there!
