Woodstock transit b/s. According to my research this is the 3 rd recorded perforated three pence used to prepay the rate to any BNA province and the only one on a registered cover. Sender requests Postmaster Harrower pay the postage and sender will reimburse him. Signed by S. Fraser. R. Harrower was the St. Jean Port Joli Postmaster from 1826 to Ex Rixon. $ Presumably the earliest St. Jean Port Joli postmark (May 16, 1832) Item d carrier fee at Quebec (facteur) 1844, stampless folded letter from Isle Verte LC (Green Island) rated 1/6 (double 9d) collect to Quebec (b/s). Facteur 1d (mail carrier 1d in French) total 1/7. The letter is from Louis Theriault and will be translated if requested by the buyer. Ex Rixon. $150.00
