To be held Friday September 22 nd and Saturday September 23 rd. For safety reasons and for purchasing door prizes, and give away items, Houston Bearing is requiring that every participant fill out an entry form prior to the tournament. The form needs to be returned to Albin Mazyn, no later than August 25th. From the entry forms a **check in/out sheet will be created. Each team will be required to check in each morning and check out each evening. The tournament headquarters is located at The Crab Trap 1652 C.R. 201, Sargent, Texas If you search for the location of The Crab Trap on the web use the old address 3610 Carancahua, Sargent, Texas and you can pull up a map. During the tournament if for any reason you are unable to check in or out for your safety please be sure to speak with Albin Mazyn directly or contact him via so be sure to program Albin s number in your cell phone. If you have not checked back in by 8pm, the emergency authorities will be notified. If you leave town early on Saturday, please remember to check out before leaving. 5 GENERAL RULES Only fish caught in Bay or canals, creek or intercostal are legal Fishing No offshore fishing allowed No trailering boats Kayaks & canoes may be trailered within specified boundaries All Teams Must check in before fishing and out before returning to Lodging All boats, fishermen must leave from the tournament site or Lodging All fish being weighed in must be on the dock in line when the cut off is sounded at 4:30pm At weigh in the tails of all fish weighed will be clipped or notched. If your fish is live and would like to weigh in and release them they will be released at the boat ramp in front of a tournament member. Any fish can be confiscated at any time for inspection. Any exception will be at the discretion of the tournament committee (Decisions are final) Fishing area is 30 N to 96 parallel and 10 S of 96 parallel To the North anything past Cedar Lakes is out of bounds To the South anything past Palacios is out of bounds No surf fishing! Teams consist of 1 to 4 persons Children 15 and under fish free with an entered team; A child does not count toward team entry. For example: 4 people + 1 child counts as a 4 person team

6 One (1) entry per category per team This means on Friday each team can enter 1 Redfish Heaviest 1 Trout Heaviest 1 Flounder Heaviest 1 Stringer of Redfish in the Stringer/Redfish Category (2 Redfish) 1 Stringer of Trout in the Stringer/Trout Category (4 Trout) Can be speckled, sand or mixed speckled and sand 1 Stringer of Flounder in the Stringer/Flounder Category (4 Flounder) 1 Redfish in the Spotted Redfish Category 1 Blackjack trout Note: The Redfish with the most spots and the Blackjack Trout can be used for the Heaviest or The Stringer Categories. And on Saturday each team can enter 1 Redfish Heaviest 1 Trout Heaviest 1 Flounder Heaviest 1 Stringer of Redfish in the Stringer/Redfish Category (2 Redfish) 1 Stringer of Trout in the Stringer/Trout Category (4 Trout) Can be speckled, sand or mixed speckled and sand 1 Stringer of Flounder in the Stringer/Flounder Category (4 Flounder) 1 Redfish in the Spotted Redfish Category 1 Blackjack trout 1 fish in the Other Category Saturday Door Prizes You must be present to win. (A Team representative must be present) Donation $3.75 A portion (5%) of our prize money will be given to a local conservation charity.

The fish entered for the Heaviest Stringer may not be used on the Heaviest Redfish. Heaviest stringer of Trout (speckled or sand) $ st 50% 2 nd 30% 3 rd 20% A stringer of trout (Specks or Sand) will be 4 legal/slotted fish. The fish entered for the Heaviest Stringer may not be used on the Heaviest Trout. Heaviest stringer of Flounder $ st 50% 2 nd 30% 3 rd 20% A stringer of flounder will be 4 legal fish. The fish entered for the Heaviest Stringer may not be used on the Heaviest Flounder. Note: Only one of the categories will be used either redfish with most spots or the Blackjack Trout. The determination of which one will be chosen will be done by the flip of a coin after the weigh in is complete for that day. $ st 60% 2 nd 40% Redfish with the Most Spots A legal redfish that has the most spots. All fish must be within the slot. In case of a tie the heaviest fish wins. Blackjack Trout A legal trout that is closest to 21 without going over. This will be scored by length and then by weight.

8 Other Category is a Saturday category 1 st $ nd $ rd $ The other category will be anything other than redfish, trout or flounder As long as it is legal and within the slot for its species. Prizes are compliments of Houston Bearing Hard Luck Drawing - $3.00 This will be for teams that have entered fish both days but did not win money either day. Then your team name will be put into a drawing to win the Hard Luck Pot. The drawing will be held after the other prizes are handed out Sat. Must have a team member present to win. No tagged or oversized fish in any category Only Slotted Fish!
