2 You are cordially invited to attend the 9th Annual Mangrove Coast Fly Fishers / CCA Sarasota Chapter s Fall Fly Fishing Challenge. The purpose of this tournament is to promote the sport of fly fishing, conservation, community involvement, and friendly competition. All proceeds will benefit MCFF s and CCA Florida s conservation efforts. Non-anglers who wish to attend the awards BBQ on Saturday afternoon are welcome. The non-angler fee is $10 per person. The open division will feature a fly fishing grand champion and divisions for snook, trout, and redfish. The fly angler division will feature 1st - 3rd places, based on total points per species. Additional prizes will be awarded in our drawings to give everyone a chance to win. Don t miss out on this years fishing, fun, and prizes! Fill out the registration form, attach a $50 check for each angler, and mail it to us now. We encourage you to pre-register so that we can plan accordingly. 3 Angling Rules & Regulations This is an individual tournament. Any pooling, sharing of catch photos or handing off rods will result in disqualification! Anglers may not fish any waters that are not open to the general public. Chumming and/or natural bait is NOT permitted. Entry limit 10 photos per angler FLIES ONLY, no fish scents allowed. Angler must supply their own flies. Full release tournament (All fish must be released) Anglers who have been disqualified from any tournament are not eligible. No stringers or fish baskets allowed (Fish must be photographed and immediately released.) Catch Qualification & Registration **NEW FOR 2013** *Note the new location for the separate Angler Check In and Captain's Meeting on Friday evening, and the awards ceremony / check in. We will meet at Harry s Sports Bar & Grill with Angler Check In beginning at 6:30 PM followed by the Captain's Meeting at 7:30 PM. You may have a fishing partner or friend pick up your scorecard, measuring stick etc, but you will be responsible for anything discussed at the meeting. **This year s catch registration will also be changing to the Meadows Country Club Community Room. Catch registration begins at 2:30 PM. Catch registration closes at 3:30 PM followed by the BBQ at 4 PM and angler awards and prize drawings at 4:30 PM. EACH angler must supply their own digital camera and/or BLANK memory card capable of holding 10 pictures. Only 10 shots will be scored. All photos that are not being entered must be deleted prior to turning in your memory card. CCA will supply each angler with a measuring board and poker chip with their angler number on the chip. These items must be returned to the tournament officials at check-in time. Catch shall be laid on the measuring board, nose butting the lower or left end of the measuring board. Place the poker chip on the fish and take a photograph of the whole fish making sure that the nose and tail are in the photo and that size graduations are visible. Once satisfied with catch photo, release fish. Handling of fish should be done with a wet towel or hand, and the board should be wet for the protection of the fish. You may have to steady the fish while on the measuring board. Memory sticks / photos must be presented to tournament officials at catch check-in for scoring, no later than 3:30 p.m. All decisions relating to the angler and catch eligibility as well as scoring shall be the responsibility of the tournament officials. The $50.00 angler fee covers the registration & BBQ.

4 Divisions & Prize Categories OPEN DIVISION - Guides, Licensed Captains (Including their fishing partners), and any angler who wishes to compete. Prize Categories - Awarded on a total inches by category basis. Each angler limited to one prize. Any size snook, redfish, or trout are eligible (No minimum or maximum size limits apply due to the all -release format) (1) Grand Champion Highest Point Total - Largest Redfish, Snook, and Trout (2 species will qualify in the event that 3 species are not entered or 1 species will qualify in the event that 2 species are not entered) (2) Snook - Total inches (3) Redfish - Total inches (4) Spotted Seatrout - Total inches FLY ANGLER DIVISION - Open to all anglers except guides and licensed captains. Prize Categories - 1st - 3rd place awarded by total points per inch species as listed below. Redfish - 5 Points Flounder - 2 Points Permit - 5 Points Seatrout - 1 Point Snook - 3 Points Ladyfish - 1 Point Pompano - 3 Points Jack Crevalle - 1 Point Snapper - 2 Points Bluefish - 1 Point Any Sized fish from the aforementioned list are eligible (No minimum or maximum size limits apply due to the all-release format) Tiebreaker will be determined based on the angler s check in time. The angler who checks in first will win the tiebreaker. *Anglers are only eligible to win one prize category*
